I just got phished for my Paypal info! Watch out for....

Never happened to me before! Lucky I've seen some posts about it lately on here, I know everyone here has paypal. I get notices from them on occasion and have a paypal mastercard which I use a lot! So mail from them is no surprise! But stay vigilant my friend! tdemex

Hi tdmex! I have seen someone posting about it also before and fellow mylotter advise her not to update any of her info. It turned out to be phishing as you discovered. I have never encountered anything like this before but thanks for the warning. Sometimes when we are not so analytical and scrutinizing things, we become a victim of scams and identity theft such as this. Heads up to you for investigating the situation first.

Hey, I know everyone here has paypal. Keep in mind this is not their security, it's a phishing scam to get your info. I know your a little challenged in this area! But it looks very real. I have a paypal debit card through mastercard and it comes in very handy, I've never had any type of problem with them in the past. Just watch for the return E address if you get any mail from them! I'm always here to give you a hand if you need anything! T----

Hi td, I'm actually totally on the ball with finance matters which is why I'm not too keen on putting too much info on line re bank details. I just found the whole process with paypal seemingly never ending, with all the things it constantly requested before one could get any further. The two small amounts needing to be veirified into the bank account drove me insane as it happended on the month the bank statement didn't arrive and who in their right mind wants to ring an Indian call centre via the UK with Greek telephone charges.

I also received a dodgy email a few weeks back from supposedly paypal and reported it to them but they wanted it sent on and I'd managed to delete it. AHHHH.
If I get anything else a bit odd though td I'll give you a call.

Good advise as usual! It kinda freaked me out as this is the first time I've ever had this type of thing happen to me! I have a paypal debit card and use it a lot like my bank! Wouldn't want to screw that up! I'm not rich but want to protect what I do have! T-----

I think I will not answer an e mail from paypal even if it has my name before I go check at the actual site. I work a lot for my pennies

On top of it, you should have checked the website URL address provided and had it been different from the normal, you should have hesitated.

Now that you have been phished, could you still access your account? If you can, please access and change the access password ASAP.

If not, you will need to write in to PayPal and get your account back.

Hope your problem does not have further complications.

Please keep in mind that paypal has nothing to do with this! They may be able to issue an alert to their users but there isn't much else they can do! Except maybe try to get this site shut down? This is a phishing attempt to get your log in info so they can empty out what ever you have in your account. This freaked me out because it was the first time this has ever happened! You have just reminded me that I keep getting one from Liberty Reserve where I haven't got an account neither now or in the past. They keep telling my account is blocked. How can that be the case if I haven't got one?!

Yes keep this in the back of your mind because this mail looked like the real thing! Mylot is great for info like this, I wouldn't have thought of it but someone had recently posted a warning along these lines! So as you see mylot is about more than making cash! tdemex
