I drink coffee and tea out of a mug  

i haven't seen cups and saucers for at least 15 years,my mum used to use them all the time,when ever i used to have my friends over,out would come tea pot,cup and saucer,milk jug,sugar pot and a plate of biscuits,all set nicely on a tray,,my mum was only in her early 30's,i'm now in my early 30's and i'd never dream of doing that,how times change

I drink coffee from a cup I really wouldn't call it a mug. It's not that big. mmmm coffee in the mornings it's my favorite time of the day.

It made me realize we don't have cups and saucers at home! I think as a housekeeper I should buy even just a set in case a visitor might need one. So, yeah, my whole family uses mug for coffee, tea and even chocolate for my kids. Well, thanks for the idea. I'm gonna buy soon as one of my friends love cups and saucer.

whichever is available, I would drink from a mug, glass, or teacup. If I want coffee, I would drink it on anything that can hold hot coffee. Or I can just buy outside =)

Hi jugsjugs: nice story you have told us. Unfortunetly i don't have anything more than a mug to drink my tea or coffe, i would love to watch that bone china, i found it very interesting and something special to have in your house althought it's probably that i'd be scared too when i was a kid for that.

I drink my coffee out of a mug, i like that better than drinking from a cup and sauser. and the mug is bigger so i get more coffee.

With the exception of the cups and saucers that go with my mother's fine china, I don't honestly think I have ever seen a true cup and saucer. Our coffee is always drank from a coffee mug. As far as tea goes, we really don't drink a lot of hot tea so that isn't so much an issue for us. I have broken many a coffee mug in my life so I would be scared out of my mind to drink my coffee from a cup that I knew was valuable to someone in either an expense sort of a way or a sentimental sort of way.

I usually drink my tea out of a gladd or a cup. I drink my coffee out of a coffee cup and sometimes a mug if I am going to go somewhere. I have never drank tea out of a mug before though.

I drink my coffee out of a coffee cup. The only kind of tea that I drink is Iced Sweet Tea which I drink out of a glass. I can remember my grandfather using the cup and saucer too. He would pour the hot coffee in the saucer and then sip it from that. I thought that was the grandest thing I ever saw. I never see anyone doing that any more. I guess it goes to show that generations do change in everything. Have a great day and keep smiling my friend.

we use mugs here too, hubby and me. But you will not get my mom using a mug at all. She hates drinking coffee out of a mug and says its uncomfortable for her. She uses her favorite cup and saucer for her coffee and says it only tastes right when she uses that.
