Donating money while being stopped at an intersection  |

 Today while I was driving around I saw there were kids from one of the colleges holding buckets out for charity money at every intersection. The charity they were collecting for was Children's Cancer. Which brings me to ask - Do you donate money to put in the charity buckets when you are stopped at a red light?

I'm trying to drive somewhere and it's unforunate enough that I just managed to get stopped at a light while they were standing there. I think it sort of cons people into giving because it's such an impulse type of thing. You see them, now you only have a few minutes and want to give them money.

I have to know that my money is going to a real charity that spends most of it on the cause, not administration. So I don't give to people collecting for charities on the street, they could be pocketing the money.

Sometimes they have people dressed up with signs for churches or people in priest outfits holding a bucket and collecting money. I don't donate to them be course most of the time those are scams. You can rent those outfits and signs here in Vegas.
