We have same situation!
I knew how hard it is getting sick of think that interesting guy, then feel to much happy whenever you catch him online. Especially if you also feel that he feel same way too..
ohh such a wonderful feeling that hard to explain.
But for my own opinion friend if u really want to work out your relationship with him you have to be brave enough and risk everything! You knew low down your pride and reconcile there nothing lost, you dont knew him personaly so if he still deny to communicate then its his lost not yours...but if he like you that much, then I knew love will see you though...
Just be brave friend and move on...

appolgise to him, and explain things, let him tell you why he got cranky as well. have a good d and m. if he likes you enough he'll respond.
