We've all read and heard about the benefits of eating dark chocolate. But many of us prefer milk chocolate. Wish there were equally as many benefits as dark chocolate but nonetheless I find eating chocolate makes me appreicate life, makes me feel happy, motivates me, picks me up from a bad day. Its that sweet, rich, creamy sensation that must be the reason for the effects. At least for me. So in that regards what does chocolate do for you?

It does the same thing to me. Its a jolt of life, its exciting to eat, it makes me happy. My favorite is Dark Chocolate more then milk chocolate. Dark Chocolate is the best and the more cocoa in it the better. In fact I have a special Dark chocolate bar to eat tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it. Even my 3 year old granddaughter loves dark chocolate candy. I find that surprising!

Jolt of life-that summs it up exactly as to how I feel when I'm about to eat chocolate. The excitement is no less than buying a new car or clothes or something to that extent. I love the chocolate and carmel combination. It adds an extra sweet goodness. If dark chocloate has more cocao wouldn't that make it all the more bitter? Interesting.

Hi elaselsa, I don't bother with chocolate most times but sometimes I do get a bit of a craving for it, usually when there isn't any in the freezer, but it's one of those things that when I want chocolate that is what I want. It's supposed to release some happy feelings and I don't know if that is true or not, I just know when its a chocolate craving and by eating it the craving goes away.

Experiement! See if eating chocolate releases happy feelings or not. Next time you are down, get out some and indulge. Then note what it does for you. Since I love chocolate, it instantly releases those happy feelings for me. It's something that always is true when I"m about to indulge in one. I hope you can report back your findings. It'll be interesting to hear.

When I'm sad, a chocolate gives me smiles. And when I'm in good mood already, it broadens my smile. But I don't have it that often. I heard it's good for cold also. Means I have a pretty good reason at the moment to eat those!

Unlike others, I prefer dark chocolate, I like it more than milk or white chocolates. Aside from ice cream, chocolate is my comfort food. Whenever I'm sad, or feeling down, I prefer to eat chocolates or ice cream just to feel a sort of happiness. i like mango falvored ice cream, is there a mango flavored chocolate? hahaha that would really be weird tasting right? hahaha

It seems from all the comments that one feeling is unianimous. Chocolate whether dark or milk, makes us happy. What a great invention to treat saddness! I even become more happy if I was already in a good mood before eating it. Mango chocolate could be something to invent but till then enjoy regular indulging.
