I am currently employed as a copyeditor but I actually graduated BS Accountancy. Its quite a shift from the field I graduated from but my first love is reading so copyediting is really not that hard for me. Since the pay's okay and I'm still enjoying my job, I guess I'll continue copyediting until I gain enough courage (and money) to take the board exam and become a full-fledged CPA and then maybe take up law and become a CPA lawyer (*crossing fingers*). Good luck to me! LOL!

Student, caretaker, babysitter, and teacher in training, and if I cannot find a job when I get out of college, I am joining the military because I need something to do and the military will be the only left for me.

I have just started my first year as a university student. I'm studying 2 languages: English and Spanish. I've never really had a dream about what I wanted to be, I'm still not sure what I'll do later. I've just always been rather good in languages and that's why I've made this decision. :)

Your decision is good!! But you need to enter into your career to earn money as well to know the real working experience. So plan to do any freelancing jobs if possible. That would be better to reach your dream too. I am Post graduate having 7 years of working experience and now started my own technical support site.. You can find that in my profile. I am very happy by providing technical support @ free of cost. I am enjoying what I am doing now.

My uncle has a pretty similar story. He really wanted to become a pilot, but his mother discouraged him, so he ended up studying to become an aeronautical engineer. He was not happy at all. Anyway, I studied languages both in college and graduate school. I've been a writer for over a decade now, but was a also a schoolteacher for several years. Right now I'm a happy SAHM, still freelancing as a writer and translator. :) I'd always wanted to become a writer.

You should pursue your dream to be a pilot. There is no harm in having dual qualifications as it will be of good use in the future. I have been to many fields in my career from a lecturer, executive secretary, businesswoman. The experiences I gained from these exposures has given me wealth of knowledge in life. I have finally accomplished my dream of being a businesswoman, having my own freedom of choice as to how much income I want to make everyday.

Hi. I am a real estate business owner. I buy properties and rent them out in basic terms. My dream when I started the business was to be able to support myself financially at the age I am now (I am 21 and started the business at 15 with the guidance of my father). I have two properties and am more than able to do that now, so I've accomplished my dream. I think I may gain one more property for extra money to add to my retirement account, but I'm done after that. I don't want any more work than I have to do! Good luck to you and your career, whichever path you ultimately choose.
