It's time the US Federal Government be investigated...

As a private citizen I feel very frustrated that these watchdog groups and other organizations are not challenging the actions of Congress and the President on Constitutional grounds. Where are the watchmen? Where are the civil rights groups?
Who will stand up for the Constitution and the rights of citizens? I realize that even taking cases to the Supreme Court does not guarantee that justice will be served in the sense of upholding our Constitution, I remember that FDR had Supreme Court approval when he interned millions of US citizens during WWII. But someone has to make the challenges, and these issues must be brought before the public while they can still effect change with their votes.

Isn't it the Congress that usually investigates these things? If it is, I wouldn't be holding my breath. I wouldn't count of the news media either. There are no more Carl Bernstein or Bob Woodward's. Today's media isn't interested in investigation anything that will make liberals look bad. As a matter of fact, they don't seem to be interested in investigating anything. Why should they do any work when they can go to a blog?

They should also be charged with breach of contract and treason for what they have already done to our Constitution. I understand that there will be times when slight alterations might be made. But when you blatantly disregard the very document that dictates how our country is to be run..... well they should just go join Hugo's army!

I agree that they need to be investigated, but who's going to do it? It will take a grass root movement (not astroturf!) and a lot of courage. These people need to pay for what they've done and are doing.

This weird ideology shared by some on the left has transformed into something downright sinister. I think most of the media liberals are afraid to step out of line and question authority. They see the fate of Fox, that young girl and guy who dared to investigate ACORN, and everyone else who's been chased out of town with torches because they didn't march in-step with the ideologues.

And as far as regular people go, plenty of them found here on myLot, I think they'd rather go on presenting the case just to say they're right than to ever admit something fishy's going on with the power structure -- which, heaven forbid, someone uses that admission to give an I-told-you-so. It would be the end of the world; an entire belief system predicated on bullspit.

(Of course, this isn't the reality of it; but I do believe that this what the average Obama/administration/liberal supporter believes would happen. They'd be viewed as the uncle Tom's, betraying the 'cause.' Could be wrong.)

I would say investiage all the bums! But all non-dems are already investigated for any suspected wrongdoings. Call the President a liar and you're punished more than a politician who cheats on his taxes.

These days it's only the liberals protecting their own.

Why doesn't this bother more people? If it's for any reason I cite, hey, we will welcome you to the land of rationale thinking with open arms! You need not be afraid of your inevitable shunning should you step forward and speak against this vile machine, this broken system.
