Have you or are you going to carve pumpkins with your family?

haha South Park lol. We have never ever carved a pumpkin before but would like to try it someday. Hope that you had a great and fun Halloween. -AidanKay.

Yes we always do and I love it! We get really into it and see who can out do everyone else. The power tools and carving kits come out and everyone's been making plans for a week or two now.

I will not be carving a pumpikn this year, I think. I do not have any kids to do it with and I hate to waste a good pumpkin. Come to think of it, though, I could toast the seeds.

We care pumpkins every year, my kids get to pick out their pumpkin and the design they want on theirs! I love doing it, but it is hard work! This year my daughter picked out a cat design (like every other year) and my son picked out four dancing ghosts! We will carve them on Wednesday because I don't want them to get all shrivily before Halloween gets here!

Not yet, we have it sitting there just looking at us, waiting for us to plunge a knife into its side, ah ah ah ah ah!

I have two children ages eight and ten and we have been carving pumpkins with them since the were babies, now I understand that they couldn't do much of the carving and gut cleaning but we would do it and set it up as their now they are old enough to make their own faces on them and also clean out the guts so we let them do that and then we carve them out for them. We like carving pumpkins then baking and eating the seeds..my mother also grows the pumpkins in her garden so we have been able to get them from her for years and I am sure that we will continue to be able to and we will also continue to carve pumpkins for Halloween...

We use to when my kids were younger and I loved baking the seeds too LOL I'd live off those for days!! now that the kids are teens we dont bother doing it any more..Though I'd considered it this yr just for my own pleasure..however I'm not even going to be here so maybe next yr I will

I use to when we celebrated that holiday, but now I use pumpkins for pies and muffins and my favorite, pumpkin rolls..:)

We did over the weekend! Me and my sons went to the local grocery shop and found the pumpkins outside. I bought 5 and bought a carver for my older son. I let him carve up 3 of them. Alhough they all looked like the characters on his Wii, he fairly did a good job. The other 2 pumpkins I had my 3 year old decorate. I had some eyes, nose, ears, mouth plastic pieces I bought last year which he promptly stuck on the 2 pumpkins. He was carefull enough to make both eyes and ears match. The pumpkins are now all in the front door!

We do carve pumpkins. In fact we are doing that tonight! And just like you, we are doing one for each family member. Not sure what designs we are doing yet. Usually we just free hand it. Maybe someones name in one and a scary face in another.
