When did you buy a book last time?

I believe that books are here to stay and I actually bought one last week. The internet is a great help in accessing a wide field of knowledge but it takes time to download a whole book. The same with e-books. It really depends on our interests and many still see the importance of books. And sometimes its nice to read books lying down and get back to it after a while. It's too cumbersome to do this even with laptops.

I think books and computers are not in competition with each other. They compliment and they have their own roles to play.

I brought two new books from my bookclub that I belong to about a month ago. I already finished one of them. I hope to start the second one before this week is up. I love to read and because of Mylot I have slowed down a bit all because Mylot is addictive.

I bought abbok last week "Maximum Ride, The final Warning" and i still love reading as theres nothing more satifying than dropping off to sleep reading a good book in bed! I do see what you mean though and i do think the kids of today are missing out on this quite alot and yes the internet does provide knowledge but sometimes you look for one thing and end up doing something totally different than what you went on there for!

I bought a book last week. Even though Internet has lots of resources, I still love reading books. I bought a tinkle. The joy of reading a book holding it in your hands is more when compared with reading it online. Well, this is my opinion.

I bought a book for me last month. It was Malcolm Gladwell's OUTLIERS. However, I have been buying books for my little 2 year old daughter almost every week since I keep seeing a lot of cute storybooks from everywhere.

The last books I bought were the Twilight Saga. I have read them first thru ebooks but it is really a different feeling when you read it from a book.

I prefer books rather than ebooks. Much easier to manage. I've been wanting to get Sophie Kinsella's and Dan Brown's books but I am out of budget right now.

I'm a book lover and averagely i always buy at least a book every week. But since my schedule is very crowded, i usually buy more than one book when i go to my favourite book store. I don't think if internet can replacing books part in our society. However internet has many good benefit and make our life even simple and easier, but still there's a lot of people love to reading on books. We can easily bring our favourite books anywhere and read it anytime without having to worry about running out of battery power, this is something totally different with ebook or notebook computer. I have a lot of books collection in my house and i always add more books every week. I never think if one day i will stop reading books and only reading on the internet. I am very fond of reading books but of a particular type. Throughout my life i have read books of various categories but since the last 20 years i now read only one category of books and that is,spiritual.I had bought many books and even distributed them and though i haven`t bought any in recent times, i think the last time i purchased books were about 16 to 18 years back.Yes the internet is definitely a good source of knowledge but the comfort level of a book cannot be replaced by the net.I do not think i will be buying any books in the near future though i am eyeing a 3 part series of a particular book which i plan to buy when it is available.

The day before yesterday I just bought a book, the author is my idol and I lined up for his autograph after he made a address. It's so exciting! I like to surf in Internet but still I wanna buy the printed books so as to scan them easily, of course, the way of buying books is different from the one in the past, just make a order online, I can get my book in a few days with C.O.D. term.

Personally I think it's impossible at least at present that E-books will replace the printed books. I love to this feeling of coziness and cheer when I read a printed book. Certainly I won't repel a handheld e-book which can help me kill the time.

according to me, the sales of books have not gone down, they keep on increasing, i am an engineering student and i buy books every time...
whenever you say that internet is the solution for knowledge gain, u see we cannot read from the monitor all the time, your retina would never support that kind of action, reading for more than 2 hours from the monitor....you will go blank...
where do the school students go without books, books are spreading, they will not shrink down..even if the technology spreads, it cannot bring down..
i will read a subject for more than 5 hours, but u cannot read via monitor for that much time, moreover i feel the pleasure of reading from the book from my heart..
i feel satisfied when ever i read from the book..though i gather more information from internet, i suppor the books much..
