What's your view on cell phones?

they're more of an emergency thing to me.
i don't even own one,if that tells you
i will say it's much better than trying to find a working pay phone if the need should arise.

Of course, mobile phones are invented to be of help in many ways. As you mentioned, it is used during emergency situations, for easy communication, and for business. The problem arise when the use of cellphones are abused and is used for any illegal and sinful activities. Mobile phones are here to stay for a long, long time. Therefore, it is a good business idea.

I think its really not a good thing to become a slave to their cellphones. Well i must admit that most people in this generation could not even survive a day without having their cellphones with them. Some of them even carry around two cellphones with them when they go anywhere just like me. hehe.
I think before, when cellphones was really not that popular, most people just use beepers so that people could contact them in case they need to talk to them. I have not tried using a beeper before but i usually see that in most movies a few years back but I think beepers function just like a cellphone only that i could just receive incoming text messages and could not send outgoing messages. I would prefer carrying around a cellphone rather than carry around a laptop since cellphones are much more convenient to carry around and not that expensive as compared to laptops and i guess its not that burden to lose a cellphone as compared to losing a latop. hehe

yup cell phone are a pain I only use mine to keep in touch with family like my brother calls me on mine sio I can talk to my mom. other than that just for emergncies.

I agree with you, Cell Phones should for necessary activities ilike to call up parents if there late or to communicate with the business peoples. It should be misused. It should be used in a proper way.

Cell phones are just like almost every other things in our life, they can be a great tool but if mis-used, it can cause problems. Knife in the hands of cook can help create some of the most wonderful food, or in the hands of sick, twisted killer, well, you get the idea. I rely on my cell phone & my laptop for work. They make my job a lot easier & I can do it more effectively. As strange as it may sound, I think people should be more aware of their surroundings & how they're using their cell phone can affect others.

I only use my phone for texting and calling, it is only mainly for communication purposes hahaha. But before, I got so hooked, but now I lost the enthusiasm about cellphones, I don't even mind if my cellphone is not the latest model. As long as it works, and don't need scotchtape or masking tape to be put together, it is ok with me hehe.

cell phones are very good thing. Example...you buy nokia n82 like me, its got wireless, gps, 5mpx cam, and other stuffs. You go to another town you cant find a street, gps on your phone helps you...You want something to chek on net, your email, face, hi5, myspace status and events you connetct trought wireless on the net...If you had goes somewhere, and you want to make a photo, you can make a photo with your phone. your digital cam has lost or its damaged, you still have your phone...and other think like alarm, reminder...And offcorse dont forget the most important funktion, you are in truble, you can call somebody to help you....

I think cell phones are really important when it comes to everyday life because they are a way to get help when you need it like if your car breaks down,or if you have an accident and it is also a way to talk to friends or family members when you are out like if they want to ask you to do something,or make sure you are okay,and me and my wife have a cell phone and I usually have it with me when I am at work,and when me and my wife are both here,we leave the cell phone off since we have a house phone,and the only problem I see with cell phones is people use them too much like when they are driving and cell phones do not need mp3 players,and cameras and all kinds of other crap,and texting is another unneeded expense,since you can just as easily call someone then text them and I think that everyone has a cell phone nowadays,even little kids.

I think overall they are a pain.
We don't have any.
For a while my daughter had one. She was a beta tester for kajeet so they gave her one and we kept it going for a while but just quit putting money on it. She just liked knowing she had one, cause all her friends do, but she didn't care too much and we were wasting our money.
We used to have cell phones and everyone called that instead of calling home so that cost us money.
I like being away from a phone so I don't miss one much at all. In an emergency they are handy, especially since there are fewer and fewer pay phones around here.
