If Pelosi changed her name, would it make her more honest?

Pelosi is completely out of touch with reality. California should be ashamed that they have thrust her onto this nation. I don't understand how the democratic party could put her in the position of speaker. There are some good democratic candidates that would have done a much better job. Pelosi thinks the American people are stupid and it doesn't matter what we want because she knows best. Her whole holier than thou attitude is amazing. Just the one incident in regards to her use of military planes should have seen her removed from office. She is the poster child of do what I say not what I do.

LMAO I laughed so hard when I heard this. She really does think we are idiots. So, if I call a pile of sh!t a chocolate pie, will you then eat it? People with an IQ over 20 really need to move into her district!

I agree that the problem is not the name but I disagree that we do not need a public option of some sort. Insurance companies cancel people when they get very sick or raise the premiums so high that they can no longer afford coverage and that is simply something that should not happen. People pay for insurance just so that if they do get sick, there is a safety net to cover those expenses. DH got very sick in January and required 5-1/2 months of hospitalization. After hospitalization, he required 3 months of physical, occupational and speech therapy. All told those bills exceeded $500,000. We had medical insurance but the insurance company initially refused to pay more than 50% of these bills because my husband was airlifted to a trauma center that was not a network provider. I fought it and won. My feelings are not just because of my story. There are thousands of stories out there that didn't end as well as mine did. In L.A., an insurance company refused to pay for a kidney (I think that was the body part) transplant for a 17 year old girl. Local protest forced the insurance company to reconsider but unfortunately their refusal cost that young girl her life. She died before the hospital was able to arrange a transplant. Insurance companies have too much power over our most precious commodity...our lives. IMHO, a public option of some sort makes these companies have to be more competitive and provides coverage for seriously ill people.

If it is just repackaging the idea, it is like when the "inheritance of over $1 million tax" was renamed "death tax" and so on.

Maybe it is more truth in packaging since the Public Option is only for the uninsured and those in states that offer it. If it is not really open to the "public" after all and it would need to be reworded.
