I feel like I am being ignored!

Did you get a number from the guy that called you or a website from where he is from. Is there a way to contact his agency? I think at this point, unfortuanately, it is a waiting game. I am not sure if it would help to get a lawyer to help you or not. Call the news stations, don't email and see if you can talk with someone that might help you. Email your government officials. When I have big problems with my sons things going through the doctor told me to do that. They will answer you, it may take a couple of days.

I am so sorry that you are not getting any responses! Have you contacted the social worker yet? Perhaps he or she could act on your behalf with the Health Department or EPA. Somebody in an "official position" like a social worker might get results before the average citizen would. Also, keep on trying with the Health Department and EPA. Sometimes it just takes persistence, because they want to make sure that you are really in need. That doesn't sound right, but I guess they feel that if you keep on trying, then you really need the help and it weeds out the people that are just doing it for attention. I might be wrong on that, but that is just how it SEEMS sometimes.

Also, have you talked with your doctor? Your daughter's doctor should be able to tell you whether or not her seizures could be triggered by formaldehyde or mold or something else that is environmental. If you have something from a doctor saying that this is a possibility, then they should act quicker, too, especially if it is combined with assistance from your social worker.

It sure couldn't hurt to call the local news station. Surely they have some kind of a consumer advocate type person who likes to take this sort of thing on. They can often get people to move on things when nothing else can. I know it's hard calling people you don't know about things, but I think it really could help.

I was thinking the exact same thing about calling your local news stations. They love to take on cases like this.

You can't just sit and wait for a response. You have to call all these people at least twice a week and email them as well. This is your home, your family that is beong affected. They are sitting in nice clean offices with a job and in no hurry to go anywhere. Call the local newspaper and see if they have a problem solver person or dept. that might be interested in helping you. I know you are sick but now is the time. Let them see what is happening to you. You have to have a Health clinic in your area. Call them and go see them. You may have the flu but you cannot afford to wait. You have to make your problem their problem. Go get them girl.

As far as I know that has to do with a chemical used with corpses. This is really something. If somebody let that drop there then there might be a sad reason for it. You'd better hope they get the tester and at least make some headway in solving your problem. Maybe somebody who doesn't like you put the thing there.

Hi babyangie, remember me?:D I understand what you're going through, as you may remember, I was in a toxic FEMA camper and guess what? I still am! I really understand about people not paying attention to you or blowing you off and nothing getting done. Formaldehyde can and will make you really sick, it's about capped me off. It also makes it hard for you to think straight and process information, track in conversations and I now have a stutter from it. What it does to your body is harden the walls of cells, making them useless. That's how bodies are preserved.

From living in this camper for 4 years, I have neurological problems, hypothyroidism, confusion, blurred vision, skin problems, frequent ear infections, constant cough, constant headaches, very frequent nausea and I'm sure there's something I'm missing. Do you and your family have these problems?

I don't know what to tell you about solving the problem, I'm still fighting the same demons I have been for the past 4 years. But I can tell you you're not crazy and that formaldehyde is a real issue. I do remember it took months to get this camper tested. I keep the windows and door open 24/7 no matter the weather and box fans running in here constantly. I also have a salt lamp which negatively ionizes the air and an ion air cleaner, as well. These do both help with the fumes a lot. You can now get these ion air cleaners from Walmart, for under $200, but you can also find them on eBay at considerably less. The only thing about buying from eBay for like $30 is how long they will last. But it does help, a lot. I hope this helps you and it's great to see you again!

Don't give up.....DO NOT give up!! I have followed your story and from my own experience in other issues I know that preservation is important when you KNOW and FEEL in your heart that you are right. It would take me pages to relate to you a battle that I fought for my daughter. I knew I was right and I fought what seemed a losing battle for a long time...in the end I won. I think you have a case. I don't feel you should give up...keep going and don't worry about "bothering" people. Don't give up until someone proves to you that you are wrong. If they don't then keep strong in knowing that you could be right....you may be. Talk to anyone that will listen. You know what? In the case of my daughter, I wrote to some magazines. One magazine that I wrote to turned me down because of a similar article. I looked up the edition and found a women across the country that was experiencing the exact same thing as me. Her stories helped me in my own case. I also wrote to editors of various local newspapers and got my story out there. I got a lot of personal responses....some pretty helpful. Get your word out. Go! Write! Talk! Shout! Don't back down.

Did you see if there is a investigative reporter at any of the local stations? That would be the person I would be looking for. They LOVE to get into that kind of stuff. You know....the one that reports on bad businesses and community issues, etc. Oh...what are they called????
