Life begins at Forty, is this true?

I've certainly spent my happiest, most fulfilled years since I passed 40. I'm now 57, and life seems to get better and better. We've realised our dream of moving to Spain, and we have our grandchildren to enjoy. We could probably do with a little more money, but so could everyone. Yes, for me life definitely began at 40.

YES that's right and also most of the peoples who are reached
the age of 40 would be more happy than the younger or more elder,
because of the good and strong matured mind. As you have mentioned here
that there is a second life would be started in the age of 40 years and they
are enjoying their life at happy mood . So we have to appreciate the second
life, which is begins in the forty years, and that was the reasons most of the
40 years old peoples always be happy in their life.

My 40s weren't a good time of life, and now I'm in my 50s, bits of me are deterioriating to the point where I'm not as active as I used to be.

My best part of life was my 30s. I was old enough to know what I was doing (just about!) yet still young and energetic enough to enjoy it.

Yes, it's been my experience that life gets better at 40.
As you mature, you realise many of the things you've missed or shouldn't have done when you were younger.
These learning experiences make one determined to enjoy life to it's fullest and not make those mistakes again. Therefore life can be a whole lot better and more fulfilling.
My experience,of course. Others may see it differently,but I can't understand why.

Hi Airasheila, I believe for myself that life is beginning in a new way at the age of 40yrs. I have made many mistakes in the past and now I am starting over and so I like the idea of saying My life is beginning again at the age of 40. There is definitely a maturity level and experience that one learns by the time they reach that age. There are still many things I would like to do and now I believe I am ready to do them and with that special person in my life.

Yes I really do think so. At that age you are matured and most people on that stage has great accomplishments already. I believe in that, because as we grow older our perception in life changes, we become more open minded in life, we are for sure stronger with any obstacles that life may bring.

This is a common saying and it varies from person to person. By and large, this is common to many. Once one reached 40, things are pretty well settled including the person's emotions and maturity. 4O years have taught him a lot of lessons in life and begin to appreciate life with a new perspective.

Yes, that's what many people say. It must be true for many people. For me, I would say life begins at 65. That's when one retires, and that's when one gets all the time to do things what one has been longing for all those years. One can start enjoying life as one wants! Ha ha! So, that's when life begins. I see many retired people having a nice time!

I use to scoff at that notion before I turned forty. But I noticed that when I hit the magic number, I began to re-evaluate my goals and the direction that my life was taking.

I think life has begun again for me at 83 and I am safe for now in this retirement home while my son is in a gov.sponsored apt with three other men so they can live somewhere while they look for wo rk. its not like our old apartment but we are at least housed. And happier than we were when we were completely homeless so now we can only go up from now on.
