I do a hamper club where as i save money each week and when it gets to December i get vouchers for the amount i have saved. The vouchers i use to buy my presents that way it is less to worry about at christmas.Less money i have to find for the presents.

I think I have heard about something like this before. My husband and I have recently just gotten an even flow of money, so we're not really saving like that, but rather just buying what we want. We haven't bought for Christmas yet but I reckon we'll start that after our mylot payments go out.
He has a job, and I hope to start mine sometime this month.

hamper club, huh? Sounds nice. I utilize the lay-a-way services at several stores in our area. I put things in at about two months prior to time to wrap and put under the tree. It seems to work out well for me. I guess it really depends on how much you have to buy, for whom, and by what time.

Unfortunately since I no longer have an income I can't. My husband made enough to pay the bills but not much else. There was a time when we actually were able to buy a little at a time and finish way before Christmas. That was satisfying to have everything bought, wrapped and hidden in advance.

I don't really put money aside every week for Christmas, but I instead start my Christmas shopping very early so that I can afford to buy everything that I want by the time that Christmas has rolled around. I earn Amazon gift cards from a gaming site that I use and those alone have helped me to buy a lot of Christmas presents this year. This week alone I was able to order a Razor Scooter for each of my children and a T-Ball set for my son and it didn't even use up my gift card balance. I'm hoping to be able to earn about another 75 dollars in gift cards in time for Christmas so that I can get some more of the things on my list for the children without having to touch my credit card or bank account.

I don't put money away each week. I have started buying things each week instead, each time I go into town I will pick up something for Christmas. I am starting from scratch this year as I have moved abroad. So I have to buy all my tree and decorations too. So each week I will pick up bits for the festive season, that way it won't be a big problem to blow a lot of money just before christmas.

I've been putting money into a high yield savings account for a few months now. I hadn't really planned on using it for anything big but I am planning on using it for shopping this year but I'm also hoping that I don't spend all of it and I can continue to add to it and hopefully save up to buy myself something large like a car or something. A car is something I'll need soon so I'm hoping that my car lasts several more years before I have to worry about paying on one of those.

Smart thinking jugsjugs.I don't have vouchers so sad. The 13th month pay I will be receiving this coming November and the bonus if the company permits are alloted for Christmas already. The money that I am saving every payday is for my future investment. Our Christmas celebration will sure be simple.

Dear friend,
For Christmas I hardly save for it. Moreover mostly I get a bonus in connection to Christmas. If more money needed I may opt for a loan. But mostly the bonus is well utilized and is much enough for my Christmas celebrations.

We used to call those Christmas Clubs over here and I did it when I was a kid. Now I use my savings account for that and not just for Christmas. Every spare cent I have and everything I earn on the internet goes into savings as if it never existed! When the holidays come I make a bare bones budget and stick to it.

hi jugsjugs again. No I did not have that much money to start with but will get several gifts for those I love and that will
'have to be that this year. I give gift cards and that makes
everyone happy.

The hamper club are a good idea but I prefer to put money away for Christmas presents because I have children to buy for. I start saving a little starting around August and by the time November comes I have a few hundred dollars which is an enormous help not to put a strain on the credit card.

Yes I do. What I usually do is that I would prepare a small pggy band which my husband and I would put any amount in there every week. Then we would also spare a little amount from our salary each month to be put there. So when December comes that money will be use in buying presents, and believe me by that money we are still able to go out of town holiday vacation for three days.
