How can a Person Live a Better Life After Living a Life of Crime? |
|
For most people, through their efforts, then they can enjoy a better life even if they have met some troubles. But for one who have a criminal past, to living a better life is really a difficult task.
I have a friend who has a criminal past. But he is really a friendly and honest man. Several years ago, for some unexpected reasons, he killed a man without any purposes, then he had to face the reality that he would spend some years of his life in prison. Now, he want to change the current situation and live a better life. Yes, he really plans to work harder than most to enjoy a better life again.
People often say that the door of forgiveness never been closed to someone else even already done many such horrible thing. But for my friend, it is really a difficult task to change. So, how can a person live a better life after living a life of crime? Do you meet some people who have turned their life around? If it is too late to try his best to change the current life?

Pose123 (5815) | 2 months ago | Hi getbrowser, It is never too late for forgiveness, but often these with a criminal past have trouble finding work, and then it becomes difficult to prove that they really have changed. Does you friend find it difficult to forgive himself, or is he having problems with others? Many people have turned their lives around but for most it has not been easy. I wish your friend well. Blessings.

If people who have a criminal past, the first thing they should do is to prove that they really have changed completely. However, there are many people who don't believe them. Sometimes, such people may have tried their best to start their career and life again, but no one has given them a chance.

He got caught and went to prison.
He got out and had never been in trouble again.
not the same as killing someone I know, but he was involved in a criminal activity and has gone so straight he's a CPA...
I also knew a lady who killed a passenger on her motorcycle while DUI and went to prison, she was still drinking but at least she didn't take a passenger along under the influence.

When a person has repented for his bad actions sincerely, he can live a normal life by doing as many good things as possible and spend his time in God's service praying for forgiveness. In a spiritual class, they told us that a killer, after completion of his sentence, is leading a spiritual life like this by being in an ashram (where spiritual activities conducted) and people are attending bhajans (singing songs on God) there though they know that he was a killer before.

8. JenInTN (3713) | 2 months ago | This is going to sound weird but consider this..who would you most likely to have around? A murderer or a thief? Who is most likely to strike again? I think that it is never to late but I think there are some crimes that are a little to much for me as a person to forgive. It really boils down to the criminal and what they are willing to do to turn their life around. It's not to late to make their life a good life but it may be more than I can stand as a person to have them around me or mine.

10. cwilson26 (1613) | 2 months ago | My husband used to live a life of crime and he even went to prison. He was smoking crack cocaine and robbed a store. He didn't rob it while anyone was there and wasn't trying to hurt anyone. Anyway, he went to prison for it for three years and when he got out, he turned his life around. We met when he got out and have been together ever since. He hasn't gotten in trouble since he has been out and has led a decent life. He quit drugs and even had good jobs when he got out. So yes, it is possible to live a better life after living a life of crime.:)
