have you ever heard of design christians

True Christianity is not like a piece of clothing that we put on once we like it and take off if we so decide. It's either we are Christians or we are not. I agree with you that many professing Christians are leading lives unworthy of the claims of Christ. Perhaps they can be called nominal too, Christians by designation but not in real life. Sometimes people who are extremely religious are people who are very difficult to get along with. But someone who has experienced the real love of God in his life is more understanding and his faith is shown in his daily living.

I have not heard design christians but it is a good one. These types are there in all the religions. These fake characters are the real children of devil.

I have never heard of that saying but i am sure there are plenty of people who design their own beleifs an d religions. They can take the Bible and twist it to make it look like what they say is the truth.

I haven't heard that one but know what it is describing. They are often referred to as "Sunday Christians" because they are Christian for as long as they are actually in the church. It isn't peculiar to Christianity, there are a lot of people who will claim to be following a particular faith but they only talk the talk, they don't walk the walk. I saw an example recently in a documentary with a guy who got caught lying repeatedly, breaking promises and caught stealing someone else's ideas and then denied it. He claimed to be a Christian and I did wonder what any genuine Christians watching the same thing were thinking.

This is the problem with a lot of so called Christians. I often see people who preach christianity, but they are just hypocrits. They will turn around and live a totally different way. Unfortunately this is part of the reason that people have lost faith and less people go to church now. You can not preach one way and ive another and expect people to take you seriously.

I guess when I think of Christianity I take it with a liberal edge. I don't think anybody can be fake. I believe all people have essential humanity in them. I believe in essential goodness because this helps me believe in love and things. I understand it has to be balanced with discretion, and I think that this is what you are assisting in right now. If you embrace a system then you will want to be with others who embrace it as well. Sometimes it is hard to embrace something that seems different from you. Perhaps they don't understand things the way your group does because of preferences and fears. You have to protect yourself. Sometimes, like a breath of fresh air you will see alikeness in an enemy, or a so called holy roller etc. I've never heard the term of Design Christian before. Do you think that they are 'relatively' on a Christian like path?

Hi syankee, I don't believe I have ever heard that name but I agree with you that they are fake Christians. Design Christians may also be a good name for them because they twist the teachings of Jesus to mean anything that they want it to mean. The teachings of Jesus as found in the gospels and especially the sermon on the mount are quite clear. It's how you live that makes you a Christian, not what you say or whether or not you go to church. Blessings.

Yes I've heard of it. A lot of preachers on TV use this term a lot. It means people who are time wasters and use the shield of Christianity to cover their horrible deeds.. more like the way you've described them.

Never heard of that saying, but yes we all know someone that is like that, they take what they like and discard the rest, kinda like how they handle abortions and homosexuality, and adultery.

I know of Holy Rollers as some say or call them mostly pentcostals and alot are great people but many differant kind of pentacostals like many differant Baptists. they say it it better to roll into heaven than roll into hell. They praise the Lord which is great and nothing wrong with that. They dress to show a change in their life and nothing wrong with that, I know alot of christains from differant places and alot of pentacostals are not fake altho some but only a few maybe. this is where we pray for one another and let the Lord do the decideing. I do not know about design christains? never heard of that. To treat people with love , careing and as Jesus would is the right way and He said you would know them for they would speak about Him. To judge others is wrong and can be changed and to be saved is to show a change and let people see. or what God does for one He will do for you, He loves all of us. The Bible is the Word of God and to spread the Word is what we are surpose to do.
