2. Clicker625 (72) | 4 weeks ago | I'm sure this incident would have been hilarious to watch. I'm such a photography nut that I would have loved to have been able to take a picture of mud-soaked you right after you got him in the storage room. Priceless!! Part of the reason I'm finding this so funny is because my oldest daughter just got a giant labrador. She's an exceptionally sweet dog and I just adore her. Just three weeks ago I babysat for the dog and, luckily, everything went well. However, I can appreciate how very strong big labs can be and how hard it would be to get one to go anywhere it didn't want to go. Thanks for sharing this story. A laugh with coffee is a good way to start the day!

3. cynthiann (3010) | 4 weeks ago | I love labs but they are so strong and I do not know if I could have stayed straight if he had jumped on me. It must have looked but I am so glad that you were not hurt. What do we do for our kids? Just about everything I guess. Just about everything.

ANTIQUELADY (11069) | 4 weeks ago | Thanks for responding, dear. I was very lucky he didn't knock me down. t.j. had told me not to do that if they happen to get out let them go & my friend jennifer was screaming, he's going to hurt u. He is a very sweet dog but huge. I hope that doesn't happen again. I'm still feeling the side affects, now i know how football players feel when they are tackled.lol.

4. lotterylover (4747) | 4 weeks ago | My wife had an experience of getting the neighbor dogs into our shed but she didn't have the problem you did. The neighbors were gone and hearing the neighbors child across the street start screaming they ran over to do what I don't know. The neighbor went into the house and came out with a gun. I think the dogs had disappeared by then as he had really yelled at them. A police came and and was going to try and catch them but I new he would never get them so my wife told them she would catch them and put them in her shed. The fence they were suppose to be behind was locked up tighter than a bank. The thing of it was that neighbor's wife didn't like us. My wife left a note on her door and she came and got the dogs without so much as a thank you and I 'll come over and clean up your shed's floor.

ANTIQUELADY (11069) | 4 weeks ago | That was sure very nice of your wife to do that. That was very tacky for the neighbor to act like that. Peole can be soo ugly. Ireally admire your wife for being such a nice person. What goes around comes around, i believe. Thanks for responding.

6. OpinionatedLady (632) | 4 weeks ago | All the time. I have a lab and a coonhound and they took me for a "bath" in the creek a few days ago. I though sure I can walk them both by myself, they have been real good on the leashes lately no problem...lmao, yeah until the wild turkeys gobbled and both of them went like a shot for the creek with my pudgy but running for dear life after them. I couldn't get my hands out of the leashes because they had become tangled and by the time the treed those turkeys I was covered in leaves mud, twigs and feathers (the hound took out the back end of a big guy, just feathers though). I sat down on a rock by the creek and had a grand old laughing fit just trying to picture what I must have looked liked to the neighbors! My husband had heard the baying ( you can hear him from 2 blocks or more over) figured he should come see what was going on and found me there laughing my self silly. He of coarse laughed at me (once he was sure I was ok) and told me I looked like they had drug me through a leaf pile. Oh well at least life isn't boring that would be worse by far.

8. CatsandDogs (5069) | 4 weeks ago | Oh goodness Jo!! I'm glad that you were able to get the dog in but gosh, you shouldn't have tried to do such a thing because those dogs are so full of energy that they don't know how to rid of it but act so silly all the time. It's like they're on caffeine all day long! lol I'm glad you're safe but please, don't try that again!! I want my dear friend around in one piece a while longer!!

10. cyrus123 (1636) | 4 weeks ago | Oh yes! Plenty of times! I don't remember ever having a big dog knock me down but we've had a lot of dogs over the years. We had German Shepards when I was younger and they used to be bad to jump on you when they were still just puppies. I had an Alaskan Malamute that died two years ago about two months after my oldest horse died. When she was just a puppy she was bad to jump on people a lot. Even though she was a big dog, she was still just a puppy at the time. I remember being afraid of big dogs when I was around six or seven years old. As I got older and we started to have big dogs, I learned not to be afraid of them any more. I also learned that they know when you're afraid of them. Kathy.

cyrus123 (1636) | 4 weeks ago | I had to deal with bad dogs a lot when I was selling Avon, especially in the subdivision across the road from where I live. I finally got some tear gas and as long as I had it, they never did bother me. I never did actually have to use it. I could just point it toward them and they would leave me alone. I guess the dogs could smell what it was. Of course, I'm aware that your son's dog is not a bad one. I hope you are feeling better now and I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt. Kathy.
