DO you think that you can live a life without all the gadgets and technology?

I can't live a day without my mobile phone, it's my life actually. Since my BF is working in another place we use it for communication, as well as the computer. I find these gadgets important for communication, not just with family members but to my friends. You get the information you need from all over the world. It makes life much easier and fast.:)

When I was born there was only a land phone and a gramaphone player and a radio. We had those laxuries in our house. Now we live with everything. But at this age I don't mind living without all that, if it is the only option. But all these gadgets are welcome for a comfortable living. Now that I spend all my time on internet, I don't give much importance to TV etc. But today's youngsters cannot think of a life without all these.

People before didn't have all of these technology to pamper themselves and they were fine without them. I think people are really capable of doing so as long as they don't know that these types of technology exist. If people don't have any idea about them, then they would be content of what they have and still continue living..

I think I can live without them... I mean, my parents studied in the dark when they were kids. Yes, I think I can BUT it would be very difficult given that I grew up with electricity and gadgets like the computer and cellphone. It's hard to imagine myself writing or using a typewriter for my school or work reports! Nor sending messages through mail and having to wait for days or maybe weeks for a response.

I could certainly live without my cell phone. Somtimes I go a whole week without using it. I could probably do without the computer but since its such a habit to get on the computer I would probably really miss it the first week. I could live without TV but not the radio. I have no mp3 or ipod and if I did I would not even know what to do with it, I abrely got the hnd of cds.....I am from the age of the 8 tracks! LOL

I think I can but it would really take a lot of time for me to adjust.
I too have become very dependent on my mobile phone and my laptop. And very very dependent on my television. But given the right alternatives, like books to read or maybe shopping I think I will be able to live without them.

When I was a child I didn't rely on so much technology as I do in today's world. I didn't like television when I was a young child. My family didn't get a video recorder until I was 14 years old. I was 16 years old by the time that I touched a computer. I didn't get my own computer or my own mobile phone until I was in my late twenties. In my thirties I got my digital camera. Two years ago, in my mid thirties I got my laptop.

I could easily move to a tropical country but I would wish to bring my laptop and my digital camera.

Absolutely, no, as i also think i can't live my life to the fullest, if i don't possess any of the gadgets. Although i don't mean to possess them as my luxury items, but it is a must to fulfill my daily life needs. So, i really admit that, i can't live without any of the main gadgets in my life, like cellphone, television, computer, fan, air-cond and washing machine....

why not? we human being can survive almost anywhere, food is the most needed and so does the society around us, other than that i don't see anything else if we just want to live. we became so dependent on all those gadgets and technology only since when? just couple of decades ago, before that, we are totally fine, it could be the pain for us now to cut off all those from our lives, but time can heal the pain, we will be fine. sitll if there is choice for me to choose, i still will choose to live with all the gadgets and technology, hehe. happy mylot
