No Toilet, no Bride

Yes the slogan is very attractive. For better atmosphere and environment their should be toilet in every house of India. But India is a poor country. At least
the government should make some public toilets at every village.

All you have said are justified.But generally Indians have no sanitary sense.

Most of the Indian villagers are poor and illiterate. They are not health conscious. They don't know about the utility of sanitary latrine.

Yes I must agree your slogan is more attractive. Suppose you are traveling in a African jungle. Where you will get a toilet in a jungle? You will have to use leaf of trees instead of toilet paper. that will be very funny.

I wouldn't go there because I know I wouldn't get a proper toilet or shower. I'm just prissy like that.

You live in America. You can't imagine the living condition of rural India. India is called an emerging economy. But it's the picture urban India. Rural people of India
are very poor and they have no sense of sanitation and healthy living. Most of the Asian countries are same as India. Yes the Indian government should arrange communal outhouse.

You are right; I do live in America. But, that does not mean that I am stupid, ignorant, and unaware of conditions in the rest of the world.

Outhouses do not have to be made out of modern materials that cost money. All an outhouse requires are something to dig the hole, materials to make a seat with a hole in it (and actually they can squat over the hole without a seat; but, the seat makes it easier for the old and infirm to use), and 3 walls with a door/screen for the remaining side with a covering to keep out the elements. If these people plant crops they have the ability to dig the hole. The walls and door can be made out of many different things - handmade mud blocks, woven vines and leaves from the jungle or wood from the jungle. These are the same things they make their houses out of; or, do you really think I am stupid enough to think they do not have any shelters to live in???

"Yes the Indian government should arrange communal outhouse"- if the people wait for the Indian government to do this they will be waiting for a long time. The Indian government has a lot of other priorities that they are working on - clean water, food, employment, and basic education.

Projects like this are best accomplished when the people of the village get together and do it themselves. Then, the people who will actually benefit from it are volunteering their time and the materials; and, they will do a better job of meeting their own needs. They will also maintain it better if they build it themselves. Waiting for the "government" to "fix" things and make everything better is just plain lazy when you are talking about something this simple and basic.

Yes toilet is a special place not only for women but for men also. When you have to travel by a country boat you can feel that. Then you may jump to the river to get rid of 'that'.

Dear why you are saying all this things here,It is not true have you ever been in India in any wedding? There are all facilities of everythings dear plz India is not like that what you are thinking it is most traditional country

i believe he is not saying for the wedding cerimony. he is saying when the bride goes home to live with the groom. she needs to have a toilet. not have to go behind something or in the woods.

It's the demand of the Bride's mothers of India. They collectively demanded it.
