Do you sometimes eat with your fingers, no spoon or fork?

Yes, definitely..I think if I eat using my fingers, I tend to feel really full faster. But, I must wash my hands first before eating. I enjoyed using my hands in eating especially if we are on the beach...

yes i do eat with my fingers especially when i'm eating seafoods but i i try not to order it on restaurants because its kindly messy.:)

am in the philippines so eating with one's bare hands is no big deal as i believe they fing this rude in other cultures. this is the sole reason why i clip my fingernails everyday. fried foods with rice are unbeateable when eaten with plain humble hands. however, dishes that come with sauces are always best savored with rice when taken all in via a utensil .

I prefer eating with a spoon though food like fish and the indian break are best eaten with hand. If I am at a formal place and have to eat with fork and spoon I make sure I do no serve myself food that needs to be eaten with fingers...

I use a fork and spoon for the most part, but as you've said - some foods are simply meant to be eaten without anything but your fingers.

I do eat with my fingers too when I am having my meal at home or in the KFC's or Mcdonalds'restaurant, it's should using your fingers to hold the drumstick or hamburgers, not the fork and spoon, any one using fork and spoon eating hamburgers? I want to see that too.

I like to eat lobster and prawns too with using my fingers, it is really delicious and enjoyable and tasty mmm......

In North India, we normally used to eat rice with hands and it tasted delicious. But now, it has become fashion to eat either with fork or spoon. Even if u feel like eating with your hands, the present day generation starts staring at u and u feel embarrassed. But at home, sometimes I do eat rice with hands and now my son has also started enjoying eating rice with hands.

Hi manong! as you say, there are some dishes that you really need to use your fingers and hands to eat. Not to mention that in several cultures to eat with your hands is considered the norm and not to use table ware. I dont know about you, but when Im eating like mmmm a good fried chicken, or some porkchops with some dripping sauce... hot lobster, a hamburger, things like that, you dont enjoy with a fork or spoon. I know friends of mine who dont eat at all with forks spoons or a knife because they say they dont like the taste of metal in their mouths. That it kills the food´s flavor.. go figure!

Those kind of foods that you have to eat with hands, for some reason, I think it may even taste better at times since you are enjoying it like a kid would!

some foods are finger foods, and lobster, prawns and fried chicken are some of them. even messy barbequed ribs. i'm from the south and when i see people attempting to eat fried chicken with fork and knife, i cringe. hey, can't be finger-licking if not eaten with your fingers. another example of finger food is bread dipped in seasoned olive oil. the way i figure it, i'll eat the food as i see fit for the best enjoyment, certainly with table manners. the british sneer down their noses at how the americans eat. they don't stab their forks into the salad, they cut meats with one hand and then put the meat into their mouths with the other hand holding the fork -- they don't put down the knife and change hands to pick up the food. just enjoy your meal.
