This Creature I could Kill Without Guilt | | I can't believe the news story I've just seen. A 7 week old baby was taken to hospital with a skull injury in 2006. They discovered that she had over 40 separate injuries, including a fractured thigh, fractured fingers, fractured ribs, and fractured skull. She had been bitten several times on her face, and the bite wounds had been left to go septic.
Her father has just been found guilty of her murder, and he cried in the dock as he was found guilty. No remorse there, right? He just feels sorry for himself. This creature, 34 year old Olusola Akinrele, is HUGE! To imagine this beast attacking this tiny infant is horrific.
The baby, Leeyas', mother has been found not guilty, although she admitted doing nothing to stop the abuse. Personally, I think she is just as guilty as if she had inflicted the injuries herself. The report doesn't say anything about abuse toward her, but as a female, if I saw ANY one assaulting ANY child, I'd put the abuser on the ground, take the child, and go to the nearest police station. That would go double if the child was my own and I was the one who was supposed to look after her.
I don't really have a question, or single point of discussion here, I'm just so, so horrified. But it is definitely when I hear stories like this one that I realise I have it in me to kill. And I don't even think I would feel the slightest bit of guilt for it!
If you want to read more of the story you'll find it at news.bbc.co.uk

Biting shows such a hatred, and contempt, rage, I hope he got the death penalty. Animals act better than that. God knows why these sick people do these awful things they do. It was probably his wife, or mothers fault, it usually is, in their stupid sick minds. As for the mother, I agree if it were me he would have been already dead and gone. But you have to remember we did not walk in her shoes. We have no idea what he did to her, or what kind of life she endured. As sick as it is to think about she might have been relieved he was taking the rage out on the baby. That poor baby, no one stuck up for her, not even God, 7 weeks of torture, what was the purpose in that. Sometimes God makes no sense even.

Louc74 (169) | 3 weeks ago | Hi Missliss. Yeah, I agree. To me, a bite is inflicted to deliberately inflict maximum pain, showing complete hatred. He didn't even treat the baby as a human being, let alone his own child. It doesn't state in the report on the site, but was in the TV report that he broke down in tears when found guilty. Yeah, I feel really sorry for him!
Unfortunately, we don't have the death penalty over here, but to be honest, a quick death would be too good for him. I can't believe how vicious I feel toward him. I'm having difficulty being reasonable about this one, to be honest!
And yeah, you're right, there isn't much information about the mothers relationship with the father, so she may have gone through hell too, but on TV it showed this photo of her leaving court, smiling. That didn't seem appropriate.
Poor wee angel. Yeah, 7 weeks of hell for her. At least she isn't suffering now.
Thanks for your comment, Miss.

| | 2. dorannmwin (1641) | 3 weeks ago | Unfortunately, these things happen far too common to innocent little babies. I know it wasn't too long ago that a child here was killed by her parents when she was just a few weeks old. I don't think that these beasts realize what they are doing to the helpless ones. Babies are a gift, but when you become a parent, you need to realize that your life is going to change. The baby can't read your attitude on a day and choose to avoid you because you are having a bad day, in truth your life should revolve around the innocent one. The truth here is that people that do things like this do not last long in jail. If they are not in solitary confinement they are often times murdered while in jail.

Louc74 (169) | 3 weeks ago | Hi, Dora. You're right, it seems like every other day there's a horrific story like this one. I don't have kids of my own yet, but I'm surrounded by my friends kids, who pester their parents to stay overnight with me (huge compliment! I must be doing SOMETHING right!Lol), so I know they're hard work, and it's a demanding role to play the part of a parent. But I've also worked with kids, and had the pleasure of working in a maternity unit during my nursing course, and it's a priviledge just to look after a baby, never mind be its parent.
I don't think the story has started to seep out to other parts of the world yet, but when it does, if you see the photo of this little soul, it's just heart breaking.

Louc74 (169) | 3 weeks ago | Hi, Puddytatt. I feel the same - I feel murderous! I usually try to analyse things, and not get TOO irate, but I think this story was just saturation point for me. I'm thinking they should announce that they're going to stand him outside the prison gates for a couple of hours each day, and whoever wants can just go along and have a go at him!

puddytatt (816) | 3 weeks ago | sounds like a plan lou, i would be first in the queue, people who do this to kids shouldn't even breathe the same oxygen as us, bugger to keeping them in jail, we have to pay for the B's to be fed and watered, just inject him with something and be done with it, throw his remains somewhere were he will rot and be forgotten about, these people are not human, they are a new breed of the lowest form

rogue13xmen13 (7050) | 3 weeks ago | I meant to add that right now, I am a little bitter because I see things like that on the news a lot, it may not be a baby, but it could be a child or someone else. Where was the mother in all of this? Why wasn't she protecting the child? Why was the child with this monster, and not someone with whom the mother could trust?

Louc74 (169) | 3 weeks ago | Hi, Rogue. The little girl was murdered in 2006, and I can't remember seeing anything about it back then, so it's just yesterday that he was found guilty, nd the news broke. So all it said was that the mother admitted doing nothing to prevent the abuse, it didn't detail if her relationship with the father had been abusive as well.
I know what you mean - this kind of abuse seems to be escalating, we're hearing it more and more, and ok, he's going to prison for a long time, but he'll have 3 square meals a day, a TV in his luxury hotel room, oops sorry, his "cell", have his choice of newspapers delivered to him, get paid to be there, get a cushy little job for extra pocket money, video games, etc. It makes me sick.

| | 5. bmuchler (339) | 3 weeks ago | This is why I don't read or watch the news much anymore. It depresses me. That poor baby. There is a local story of a man beating his 9 month old to death. He admitted it. He acts like it's not a big deal. These kind of people make me sick. No remorse. I hate people like these.
| |

|
Louc74 (169) | 3 weeks ago | Hi, Bmuchler. It's becoming more and more common. And you're right - they act like "why are you angry?", because their victim means nothing to them. Apparently, when he was found guilty, he broke down crying, but he didn't cry when the details of her injuries were detailed. Maybe he's realising he's about to get beaten up in prison. Fingers crossed, anyway!

| | | | | 6. snoopyfan (18) | 3 weeks ago | I agree with you 100%! It is very upsetting when anyone hurts and kills a innocent child and I also think the mother should also be charged. How can she not do anything to save her baby. That is also a very selfish act on her part. I do not have any children but just the thought of someone abusing a sweet beautiful child who did nothing in this world to deserve this is very upsetting. I just don't get it. Hopefully they will put in the general population and he will be taken care of. You know what they say even crimials have no use for people who hurt children. I hope they lock him up and throw away the key!

Louc74 (169) | 3 weeks ago | Hi Snoopy! I'm listening to, and hearing, the people who are saying we don't know if the mother had been abused by him as well. But my own mother was beaten by my biological father, but after he left a mark on me, she said, ok that's it, you are OUT of here. Threw him out, divorced him, to make sure he would never touch us again.
I definitely think that she should decide not to have any more children. She's already proved she can't protect them as a mother should. There isn't any background on the news about whether she was abused, but a good mother would have a lioness's instinct to protect her child.
Yeah, I think the least he deserves is a visit from the prisons biggest, hardest crims!

| snoopyfan (18) | 3 weeks ago | My Mom was abused by my Dad as well. She finally divorced him around when I was 11. He never hit as. Both of my parents are now deceased my dad was a alcoholic and did some drugs. Mostly drank though. His drinking and smoking caught up to him and he passed away at age 60 from cancer of the bones. That was at the end of other medical problems. The last three years of his life he couldn't drink and was a completly different person to be around. In the end my parents ended up as friends and I know my Dad regretted a lot of what he did to my Mom and not being together as a family anymore. But trust me if he ever hit any of us kids I know my Mom would have been out of there and would never let anything happen to us.

| | | | 8. sweetgirl_k1 (3132) | 3 weeks ago | That is terrible. I never can understand how a parent can do that to their child. I love my child more than anything and always want the best for him and I don't even like it when he's sick. I just want to make him better very quick. If my husband were doing that to our child and I was scared of him I would take the child and get out of that house. I wouldn't care if I had to go live with my parents or even at some kind of shelter I would get out of there. I'm not going to just let my child be abused. They need to put this man in prison and let the other inmates hurt him and beat him up for doing this to a baby. And a seven week old hasn't even had time to do anything wrong or to even be bad for that matter. I just don't understand.

Louc74 (169) | 3 weeks ago | Hiya, Sweet. You can't understand, because you're a decent, caring human being. I would do the same - get the child and leave. That, to me, is a mother. I do try to understand that maybe she was abused as well, although that hasn't been said so far, but even an abused woman in this situation will protect her children, if she's a decent mother.
I imagine he'll be kept separate in prison, but hopefully some of the worst prisoners will "accidentally" get into his cell.

Me personally I think that it horrendeus that a parent could do that to any child. They are a gift to protect and cherish, Not hurt or kill.

Louc74 (169) | 3 weeks ago | Hi, Workingmommy! You're even newer than me! Nice to meet you, welcome to Mylot, hope you enjoy it!
I'm not too religious, although I do believe, but I think at the end of your life, you're made to pass judgment on yourself, but either way, I hope he suffers.
I'm surprised at how vicious I feel toward him!

I am like you in all ways, How can someone do this is beyond me? I am so like you hearing this makes me think as well that torchering someone like this, expecially dealing with sexual abuse as a child, and it torminting me to this day, that I too could kill someone like this, but put them thru severe pain. You know this is horriable, something else that is, If or When one of these fruits get a death sentence, it shouldn't be simple put you to sleep like a sick animal.. These people need to feel the pain they inflict on others. Like the rappest, child killers, ect. This trash should have finger nails pulled out by pillers.. And the vics family and friends should be allowed to do such.. This Woman, as mentioned, Boy what is this comming too, admit she knew and get Off?? WOW, I agree with you, it wouldn't have happened like that under my guard

Louc74 (169) | 3 weeks ago | Hi, Tand. The story just broke in Britain yesterday, so maybe it'll start to seep out to other parts of the world soon. The only place I could find it afer hearing it on TV was on the bbc website.
I'm actually quite glad that I'm not the only one that this has brought the animal out in! I really could, quite comfortably, kill for this kind of thing, and it's a bit disturbing.
I'm with you - if there was a death penalty, I woulnd't want it to be quick either. Apparently, the mother witnessed his attacks on the baby, and she's admitted she did nothing at all to stop it, but she was found not guilty on all charges. Makes you crazy, doesn't it?

tandmunlimited (589) | 3 weeks ago | Does it ever, and very very sad.. I don't see how someones mind could be so messed up to witness this kind of act. To her she probally felt she had to do it, it is alfully sad. Irregardless of what she thought, and my beliefs of you never know a man until you walk a mile in their shoes to know them mentally, psycially, or personally. To know how they think or what hurt caused them to preform such an act. I believe she should be guility too.
