Should play be just for children?

hi pose123 You are very wise. we as adults need to play too, and we need
to awaken the child that is in all of us.let it out to laugh and smile
and have fun. we joke and tease and make ourselves lighthearted again
like we did as kids.we can find ways to have fun and to enjoy sharing
that fun with friends and loved ones too.

As we grow, we tend to forget the ways how to have fun in life, i think its great that you brought up this discussion.

So many people are just busy with their daily work and tensions that they get over stressed and end up with inferior results both in work and life.
I think its necessary to have an hour dedicated to humor, fun and things that relieve stress in a person. Too much tension breaks you!

I hope the few ones reading this today, put a smile on their face to work and share a joke today!

Play shouldn't be for children alone. Adults need to play and enjoy the fun that it brings, too. Playing brings out the children in us. I am into badminton and I always enjoy while at play. What gives more enjoyment is the fact that I am playing with children who are in their high school years. Children act naturally without any pretense. I am part of the teasing they do to each other, the laughter we share and I am sometimes witness of their quarrels and arguments which usually bring crying from the other party. Like children, I play to enjoy without any thought of winning or losing (but some children are really bitter losers, hahaha). I don't care about the aching muscles after the games, it is the fun, enjoyment and sweat I get out of it.

No I do not think that play should just be for children. Play is essential for children because that is how they learn. However, adults work too much and don't play anymore. For adults play is comforting and relaxing. It helps adults destress so I think it's important for adults to play.

We often get stuck in routines.
I feel I've enjoyed life ever since a few years ago ...

I'm still young at heart sometimes I feel that I'm going back to my childhood when I play with the kids here. I think there's nothing wrong about that if we want to be childish sometimes. I don't take life too seriously because sometimes it makes me more stressful.

OF COURSE play is for adults too! Whether its joking with friends, board games, running around with your kids/grand kids... everyone needs that little bit of thrill in their life, regardless of how they achieve it as play can be defined a million ways based on who we're talking about.

And actually - along with the "as adults we are often caught up in the serious affairs of life"... when I start getting down and out.. I realize it IS when I'm taking life to seriously and not spending enough "floor time" with my daughter.

Play in anyway leads to a happier life. Period.

No, I wish I could go jump into the balls, and go play on the slides, but I'm too tall...lol

It's just because with our grown-up, we learn to be caution, hide what's real in mind to protect ourself, we demand more, our desiraton begin to swell, we lost ourselves step by step... what a pity.

As an adult, we should abosulately find some ways to play and joke, that's exactly what life should be.

It is necessary for adults to have play time. It definately would not be like that of kids but it should fun and bring out the child in everyone of us in order to create a balance in our hectic and stressful life. Remember that laughing more often prevents wrinkles
