Would you be more likely to buy something if you could get a free item later?

Or maybe even right away? Do you get drawn in by 2 for 1 deals, buy one get one free, or perhaps customer loyalty rewards type things where you have a stamp or punch card and after 5 you get the 6th one free or after 9 you get the 10th one free? Do other things factor into your decision, such as the cost of the basic item (does IT have to be on sale too?), brand name, or where you have to go to get it?

I always shop the but 1 get 1 free deals or sales. On the computers I got for my kids each one got a $150 rebate when you purchase the moniter and computer. I just sent the refund for one of my kids to my father's house and had him cash the check and give me the money. They needed computers anyways so heck yeah, why wouldn't I take the time to do a refund and get back $300 in the mail? To ignore the refund would have been really stupid. Also if the store has an offer to buy something and get the additional item for a penny or something I take advantage of that too. I don't buy the item unless it is something I was going to buy or planned on buying in the future. I don't just buy stuff for the sake of saying that I got a bargain but, again it be unwise to buy something without the free offer or rebate or to wait until the sale is over to buy it.

Yes definitely! I always buy stuff on sale and stock up when it is. I also coupon and refund as much as possible! Just this week at my grocery store they had Keebler cookies on sale buy 1 get 1 free. So it was $3.95 for 2 packages and I had coupons for $2.00 off 2 packages. That made the cookies .97 and a half cents each! I think that was an awesome deal. I love to get bargains like that. I got 8 packages and put them away in the pantry for school lunches, etc. Also at Target they had Halloween candy on clearance at 75% off. They were not really marked as Halloween candies on the wrappers so I am saving them to put in my kids Christmas stockings. I'm a very thrifty shopper, yes indeedy! Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

If both items are something I want and need, great. But I'm not going to buy something I don't want just to get something I do want (unless it's a huge great deal). Stamps and punch card things annoy me because then I have to carry the dang card around with me. I'd rather just have prices lowered all around.

Yes I do get drawn by two for one deals or buy one get one free. I am a shopper so I will always check prices before making the decision to buy. It not only has to be a deal but something I would have purchased anyway. I mean I won't buy something just because it's a good deal. I have to need it or had been wanting to buy it to start with.

No, I do not get drawn into those things, unless I had to buy the item anyway. If I was going out to get a particular thing, and they were selling it 2 for 1, then I certainly would get the other one, but I would not take the extra trip there just to get the deal. If I don't need it at that moment, I won't buy it. Same goes for the punch cards...if I am in their store purchasing something, certainly they can punch my card away...lol...but I won't purchase something just to reach the amount I need to get the freeby. Again, if I don't need it at that moment, I don't make the trip to that store.

This isn't specifically one of the things that draws me to buy an item. I normally won't go out of my way if it isn't something that I typically buy anyway. Yes, sometimes it is nice to get something for free, but if it is something that we don't use on a regular basis, what exactly is the point of it? For me, in the long run, the things that make me more likely to buy something is if it is a brand that we are fans of, the cost, and whether or not I can find coupons.

The things that I buy are generally things that I need so it doesn't matter to me that much if they are on sale or not. If it is something that I buy on a regular basis then having a punch card where you get something free or a price reduction after so many purchases that's always nice

I don't think that we ac tually get one free. I think that we are paying the full hidden cost. am rating like crazy!
