15 Year Old Missouri Girl Indicted on Murder Charges  

That is exactly where she needs to be. To plan it out for a week and then go through with it just to see what it was like is beyond words to me. She would probably do it again if they gave her the chance to. I feel sorry for both the parents in this case and I am sure that they all have a long road ahead of them but the fact stands that she committed cold blooded murder and needs to be punished for a very very long time for it.

I have the television on in the next room and I just heard something about this on the news preview. That is just horrible. I think she needs to go to jail or a mental institution.

She needs to have the book thrown at her. What a horrible thing for her to do. She couldn't have been raised right to act like that. It all begins at home when they are young.

That is so sad. This whole world in going looney. I cannot imagine hearing that reason coming from her mouth.

I wonder what's got into her head to even think of killing just to "know how it felt". This girl doesn't have a history of getting into trouble in school, and she seemed a nice girl - it's just unbelievable! It's premeditated murder, and whatever is the real reason behind it, she needs to be alienated from others, lest she does it again. Her mental and psychological faculties should be examined.

It is absolutely awful. Both families will now suffer. It is truly scary. And yet another reason not to let kids of any age out of our sight.

This is certainly one sick girl! She needs to be thoroughly assessed and diagnosed and beyond a shadow of a doubt locked in a mental health facility with whatever treatment there is available. I realize she is a child, but the actions are horrendous.
She has taken a life at her own will. What will prison do for her?

She is very very sick..
And I am sorry for the families, of course, but is it not frightening that no one in her family knew this girl well enough to read even subtle changes, or if theydid, did nothing about it??

Isn't this just awful?!! Poor little girl (the one that she murdered)! I think Alyssa needs to get life without parole, too. What in the world was she thinking?! When I was 15, I wouldn't have ever thought of anything like this. I wouldn't have wanted to murder anybody, anyway. Kathy.

Well I feel it is a little harsh to say she could never be rehabitated. Really that is a process for an adult or a child and the crimnal system is not setup to rehabitate anymore, it is directed toward probabtion and keeping them in the system so to speak. You would not believe how many friends and past friends that I know that have criminal records and keep getting into trouble no matter what program or how many years they spend in prison. I feel we as a people need to understand why people cause harm to others instead of housing them with other people that have done the same so if they ever do get out they are far worse than they were than when they started.
My heart goes out to the little girl that lost her life. To me that is the sick part. But now this other child will have to carry this burden until the day she dies.
