This year is the first year that my son was old enough to really help with decorating our Christmas tree. He is 3 years old now and after he put each of his Christmas ornaments on the tree, he would say, "I did it by myself". I kept telling him how proud I was of him. He was so excited. My daughter is 8 and decorating the tree is the best part of her Christmas(aside from getting presents...lol). She always has a certain place she wants each and every Christmas ornament to be on the tree. They were definitely Mommy's Helpers tonight and I appreciate their hard work making our tree look so beautiful! Did you have any helpers to decorate your Christmas tree or did you do it yourself?

My kids helped decorate our tree. Actually they did everything except putting on the lights. I think they did a pretty good job. I had to remind them both a few times not to put the ornaments so close together, but other than that they did it themselves.

Yes, I had to do the same. The ornaments aren't perfect but they thought they did an awesome job and I told them they did. I figure when they aren't paying any attention I will spread out the ornaments they put all together, etc. Merry Christmas!

My husband and I are the 'kids' who did it all this year. We were actually quite proud of how pretty it turned out! In the past, my stepson and niece have helped us, but they are almost 20 now, and off decorating with their boyfriend and girlfriend,so I guess we're on our own, lol

I haven't bought my tree yet but I always have helpers who do most of the decorating for me. My youngest daughter, who is almost 19 and lives with her boyfriend, insisted that I let her know when we were doing the tree so she could come home and help. My grandchildren, who live nextdoor, also help...so we end up with a tree that has most of the ornaments hanging from the bottom branches.

When the kids were small they all go into decorating. Now that I am bed ridden some of the time usually my daughter does the decorating. We have decorations from years back and each is carefully wrapped and I have made it known that it had better be done carefully. I have lost some very old ones and so I am very careful.

I am sorry that you are bed ridden. I am glad that your daughter is around to decorate the tree. It is great having old ornaments that you will be able to pass down. I have a lot of ornaments that my grandmother had made over the years. Those are the ornaments that go on first. I also have some I Love Lucy Ornaments that I have bought over the years that go on the tree. When the tree comes down I wrap them carefully.

I have a mood disorder so sometimes, especially during the winter months, I just don't get up and wonder through the day like normal folk do. Unless you have the disease it is hard to understand.

My husband will be helping me put the ornaments on the tree. Every year he and I decorate the tree. I also bought some window decorations and I will be putting those up as well. I can't wait to have kids so I can share all these great memories. I think it is great that the kids want to help. It must have been fun to see the kids put up the ornaments. I remember when my sister was younger she had a flushed dog ornament that she took off the tree every night and brought to bed with her each night. She never touched any other ornaments just that one. When she woke up in the morning the dog went back on the tree.

My daughter and grand daughter helped to decorate the tree. We had so much fun. Especially my 4 year old grand daughter. Savannah was really a great help. Happy Mylotting
