You can always buy rechargeable batteries mate , they are everywhere , cause betteries are the ones that drive the circuit , and the circuit is fine.

I so agree! And kids toys all need batteries and they are very pricey! I have a remote for my DVD/VHS player and a Cable one for the tv. We pretty much did away with the toys my grandson had because we just couldn't afford to keep up on the batteries needed for them. Does Santa take batteries?

Hi, jugsjugs. Yes, it is about time that someone came up with this new discovery as an invention. Maybe that someone can be you. You should look into getting this patent and reviewed. I do get tired of the batteries running out in the remote. I guess that Duracell will be the best battery that will last longer until someone makes this invention.

What an interesting idea! Considering that the Wii remotes have docks wherein you can recharge it. We have the same problem with my son's Wii remote. He keeps running out of battery. So, his grandma gave him a recharge dock station on his birthday. Even though sometimes those couldn't keep up with him. But for TV remotes, it would have to be something similar, like a docking station, and it would have to be universal remotes. Let me think about this some more...

i think it would be absolutely great if anything with a battery had a charger That way we would not have to replace batteries. It gets expensive to replace batteries after a while, since they seem to run out so fast.

A couple of years ago I bought rechargeable batteries in all different sizes and a recharger. This was one of my better ideas. I never run out of batteries always have all the right sizes on hand and have saved a ton of money not having to keep buying new batteries.

that would be nice. i suppose you could buy those rechargeable batteries for it,but even those tend to lose their charge after awhile.

I think that's an excellent idea. I know I'm tired of buying batteries all the time and want to switch to rechargeables soon. Letting your remote control charge like your cell phone would take away the need for buying new batteries all the time. I wonder if anyone else has had this idea and is selling the product...I want one if so!

As a matter of fact you can pretty well use rechargable batteries for your remote to cut down the cost of batteries...

Im not really sure where to get them but I think that there are those kinds of remote controls. Those that have a plug in charger then you can use it just like any other remote control. Another type that I could think of is the one that has rechargeable batteries. You have to plug in and recharge the batteries just like you would recharge your digital camera or cellphone batteries. I think those types would be a little more expensive than the conventional ones though.

I suppose it would although our doesn't seem to need batteries often despite my husband constantly channel hopping. We dont have sky so only have the one remote to keep going.

My husband and I are going to get the rechargeable stations for our gaming controllers as here that seems to be what will need the most changing of batteries. Remote controllers for the t.v. are used but never to the extent that batteries need changing very often.
