Yes, you would have thought that someone somewhere would have invented such a thing.
Remote controls are one reason we bought one of those nifty little chargers that recharges AA and AAA batteries, and now we always have them ready, and its handy for stuff like torches and the digital camera as well.

I think is about time we have a rechargeable remote control, I don't like to buy batteries they are waste of many and try to recharge the batteries is just annoying just to save yourself a few bucks.

My husband and I are going to get the rechargeable stations for our gaming controllers as here that seems to be what will need the most changing of batteries. Remote controllers for the t.v. are used but never to the extent that batteries need changing very often.

I think that a rechargeable battery was already made many years ago. I believe that a better one would be a remote control without the need of a battery or something that can be charged. I like one which is automatic and doesn't need any battery to function. In the future, may be someone would be able to invent a remote control that is like the one I describe. The person who can invent that kind would be a billionaire someday when that time comes. It's one of a kind invention.

What a great ideal. I would have never thought of that in a million years. Oh girl go get this thing started with the product company. You just might have something that would return you a favor. I agree with you that it would be nice to place the remote on a charger before bed and when you get up it is all ready to go...

I think that's an excellent idea. I know I'm tired of buying batteries all the time and want to switch to rechargeables soon. Letting your remote control charge like your cell phone would take away the need for buying new batteries all the time. I wonder if anyone else has had this idea and is selling the product...I want one if so!

I suppose it would although our doesn't seem to need batteries often despite my husband constantly channel hopping. We dont have sky so only have the one remote to keep going.

OMG! That is so perfect I was just thinking that this afternoon. They can do it for Wii controllers. I kept having to get up and walk halfway to the TV to turn the volume up and change to the title menu when I was watching a movie this afternoon because the batteries are going dead so the remote doesn't work from as far away and we have no batteries. But yes, they need to do that soon!

A couple of years ago I bought rechargeable batteries in all different sizes and a recharger. This was one of my better ideas. I never run out of batteries always have all the right sizes on hand and have saved a ton of money not having to keep buying new batteries.

that would be nice I like you usually dont have the batteries I need and have to go buy some!
