What's your ideal house?

I have always wanted a house that has no corners inside. Everything is rounded. There are recesses in the walls for books and knick knacks and no doors, either. Each room is entered through a short hallway running parallel to the wall so you go through the passage and turn right or left into the room. There is a courtyard in the middle of the house and each room has a door leading to the courtyard and garden. This is a very big house, of course!

My ideal house a spacious building on the country side, in a big acreage with a stunning scenic surrounding. That would make it really very enjoyable and relaxing. A mountain background like the Rocky Mountain or the Fujiyama would be really ideal. Any way, these are just my dreams. I am not that rich to have a house like that. LOL !

I very much like Japanese houses, too. Have you heard of the late Nader Khalili's Cal-Earth ceramic dome houses, though: http://calearth.org/galleries/eco-dome.html He was a genius.

Hello codris, my ideal house is a minimalist type. with small room but with big beautiful garden. Unfortunately, i still have to make my dream come true to live in my ideal house. right now, i don't have my own house. I still live in my mother's house. But I hope i will find it soon. One that cleans itself would be perfect! I actually like smaller houses, I'm one of those people who wouldn't WANT to live in a mansion. I like cottages but they often have small rooms - especially the kitchen and I do like to have plenty of space in the kitchen.
