Tiger Woods Leaving Golf  

I don't know why he'd stop playing the game. He just needs to take his wife with him when he travels, problem solved! Quitting my job because of problems with my relationship would be stupid.

I don't feel bad for any man(or woman) that cheats on their spouse. It's a very hurtful thing to do to a person you once professed to love. As for him leaving golf because of his personal life I agree thats rediculious. One does not have anything to do with the other.

I don't feel bad for him at all. One affair would be one thing. But at last count there were 14 different women that have come forward. That many is disgusting. I don't feel bad for him, I feel bad for his wife. Just because you are celebrity doesn't make it a given that you can cheat and it be ok. It's true that no one is perfect, and one affair probably wouldn't have hit so hard, but when more and more women kept coming forward it became something big. He is in the public eye and being a good role model comes with that and that means keeping it in your pants and be faithful to your wife and your family.

I guess it tiger's way of getting back to those who wants him down. As we all know, Tiger has already earned so much more than he could spend in his lifetime. Its more of the golfing worlds loss if he quits than the other way around. A lot of people got interested in golf because of Tiger. It's just sad that he would have to leave on the grounds that he's not being a good role model to children because to me that's just unfair. Celebrities do bad things all the time. Parent should be the role models and not celebrities. Cheers!

It's just a big deal, because Tiger is a big deal. Purses in golf tournaments have skyrocketed when he came into the scene. Now that he is taking time off, the game will be affected, whether he likes it or not.
But he's a good athlete, he'll sort it out.

Well really i think the main role behind this decision is media , common man it's his life , let him do whatever he wants to do , why you are so into his life , he is a good player and if it is about being a good model for children then i will say tell me the one who is actually good and should be tagged as good model for children , oh common grow up please , these are just excuses or i will say piloting against against tiger or whatever , me too feels bad for him , he is so good player.

I don't feel bad for him. He did this to himself and he has embarassed his wife. I do believe he will come back to golf. That is his passion and I will still watch him play. The word is his wife is deciding to divorce him. Since he loves women so much, you should have never got married.

The reputation that Tiger Woods needed to uphold was not for the sake of being a good role model for children in as much as he was presenting an image for the companies and sponsors that pay him millions of dollars every year to be the face of their campaigns and their names. The way he has handled his personal life has resulted in those companies dropping him slowly, one by one. I think that, when you arrive at the top of your game like Tiger did, and people are banking on you, you do hold responsibility for how you behave. Celebrities - whether they are actors and actresses or sports figures - are paid not only for their talents but also their overall appearance and reputation. Unfortunately, Tiger is losing that support (and that massive income) by leaps and bounds. Rising to his level of fame and notoriety unfortunately does not allow you to be "a normal person" anymore... you are in the spotlight and people build business around you. When you accept to be part of that, you have a job to do and a role to play - and you have agreed to it. It's not a surprise. Leaving golf, even temporarily, may be the only thing Tiger can do to start to rebuild what has been shattered.

I don't really care what Tiger Woods does...I am just tired of hearing about his crap...there are many other problems in our nation that our media needs to be focusing on...
