Ice Crystal - Looks like an artists rendition of an alien from another world to me.

I have fun playing with the ice that forms on my windows here in Minnesota. This shot is the result of some of that fun. I blew on the ice on the screen door window watching it melt then refreeze right away and this is the result. Kind of looks like the head of an alien from outer space to me. Funny looking ears aren't they? Do you play with ice etc like this at all? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

That would be cool to see ice pictures like that. We don't really get ice though. PS I think it looks like an alien butthole...

Merry Christmas to you and yours only a week away now. we are having our Christmas party here at noon today so the staff well most of them can be with their own families on Christmas day.

I don't know...don't some of the hairy primates have hairless behinds? Besides, when we see pictures taken of them, they're usually walking or running. That might be an indication that it's too cold for them to sit...

Well Grandpa Bob, referring to your post a while back which mentioned the snowfall, we have just quite a bit of snow over here in GB. And all before christmas. But in response to your post, I don't actually play with ice although i can build nice snowmen. but if I see a pristine piece of snow, for instance on a car or my greenhouse for example, I cannot resist the temptation to draw a big smiley face!

Hi GB. I followed your ice episodes last year and they were wonderful and beautiful then too. I really do enjoy your postings. You have a wonderful and fun way of enjoying life with just little pleasures, you are not one to become bored at all with life. Thanks for the enthusiasm, I learn a lot from you, that is how to make things more enjoyable and exciting. Have a very Merry Christmas. Yes, that is a beautiful form that the ice made.

You know what I really love about you Grandpa Bob? And it's not just blowing on ice to watch it melt and refreeze. It's that you take simple, everyday things around you and blow a little magic into it. And you are able to share a little of that magic with everyone here. Some people grumble about ice, snow and cold weather. You make it special, and I bet that there are some readers who have never experienced it....wish they could. Thank you for what you share with us! I hope Santa never realizes that one of his elves is missing, because we'd miss ya!

Why thank you very much. I lead a boring life I guess having all this time to do this kind of stuff. But I do enjoy doing it though a lot. I grew up in this kind of weather and love it until it gets to be TOO much TOO often. Snow and cold to a degree but when it lasts forever is when it gets to be. But I do what I can to make the days go by be it hot and muggy or cold as heck and snowy. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB THE ELF!!~

Hahaha! Love the new signature...very fitting! We'd probably like it if we could rotate those 'too hot' and 'too cold' weeks, wouldn't we? During the coldest part of winter, I dream about all those days when I was so hot and dreaming about snow. We might like it, but I guess our gardens wouldn't. When our toes are permanently cold, it's a good time to brouse through seed and garden catalogs, isn't it?

Its been years since ice has formed on any of my windows - we seldom even fog them up unless we're cooking! That looks like they've opened the brain of a Thorian - from Star Trek

Hey Grandpa Bob! Now this one is really cool~ It looks sort of like a kid with big ears with his mouth open really wide! It so cute! I just am always so amazed how you can see so many different things when you look at these ice crystals on your windows and take the shots! I may be getting a camera finally very soon! I don't know what kind it is or anything much about it except that it is a Sony! A friend of mine is giving it me and it is only a year old! He got a new one and said I can have it! He will show me how it works so I might finally be able to show pictures of me and my kittys and who knows what else!lol
