Last night I dreamed my son and I were in a public swimming pool it was only the two of us there. Some kind of alien insect was in the pool. The insect grew to be a big giant fish like a shark and came after me. My son quickly got me out of the pool and locked the door behind me so I would be save. I ran for help, I found a stranger on the way and we came back but my son was no where to be found, I was afraid he was dead but the stranger said we should call the hospitals to see if he was injured. That is when I woke up.
Any ideas on what this dream could mean?

wow that is really weird. I also have dreams that are funny and weird but sometimes scary. What I know is, when we dream of monsters like the alien-like insect on your dream, it means we have some problem/doubt that needs to be resolved. It sometimes represents fear and unstable emotion. With your son who is missing, I think it means that you don't want to stay away from him and cared for him so much. Or maybe you worried about him too much.

winterose I think it just means you are perhaps concerned about your sons welfare and the dream showed your worry and also maybe worrying about what the New Year will bring. do not think its anything at all to worry about. just be glad you woke up from it.

I am very much into dream interpretations, as I studied that as part of my university education, threw it out her to see what others might get from this weird dream.
Happy New Year my friend

Did you eat something "funny" last night? Or it might just be the "blue moon"...
If you're looking for meaning in it, here's something: Your son will look after you and strangers will be helpful.

I think it is a normal mother's dream. I used to have dreams of a halacaust. Running with my daughter and so frantic to find shelter from the bombs and fighting going on all around us. It was scarey and so very real I would wake in a sweat. Ofcourse I am a drama queen to some extent so mine were more intense than yours.

this dream was intense thinking my son was eaten up by an alien monster fish, don't think other wise but yes it could be,
only I am psychic and have prophetic dreams and ever time I dream of something bad about my son usually something not too delightful happens in real life concerning him.

Hopefully that is all it is. Stay away from fish and water and stay grounded.

I am not worried about the dream,
I do interpret dreams quite well but I opened this up to for discussion to see how other people would interpret it.

Happy new year my friend..honestly I don't have really idea on analyzing or interpreting dreams unlike some of my friends that they could interpret really.
It is because for me, scientifically, dreams are just the fruit of your sleepiness. The exit moments of your day stress and tiredness. This is only my point of view..
Thanks my friend...

thanks for your comment,
there is a whole branch of psychology dedicated to dream interpretation,
as dreams are the fruit of your unconscious mind.

No idea, but it is probably the result of some kind of worry or stress.
