A woman goes into labor early in Colorado and while giving birth she died. The doctors after failing to resuscitate her moved into action to perform an emergency C-section to try and save the baby. The baby was also born dead but they managed to get a heart beat after working on it but couldn't get it to breath and was loosing hope. Than both the baby and mother started to breath again after the mother had been dead for several minutes. Read the whole story here http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8435457.stm
This story reminded me of a discussion on here the other day about someone saying there are no miracles and myself and another person pointed out that they happen even today but people don't view them as a miracle. I find it ironic that out of all the stories that ran this one hardly got any attention and it was down played also but lots was said about the economics of Christmas and the attempted terrorist attack.

Miracle: an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause.
By that definition there are millions and millions of miracles happening every day. I definitely believe in miracles!

Hi starsailover! Thanks for responding. To me, miracles are not just things we don't understand but the many common things that we take for granted, like being able to see. What a marvelous creator God is! What an amazing thing to be able to see in three dimension, in color, and with such a beautiful device, the eye.
Revelation 4:11 (New International Version)

to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being."

Thank you for the reply. Its my opinion its not a rumor, the doctor and the other people attending that it happened. While the cause and reaction might be undetermined the fact remains it happened.

There is no such thing as luck, happenstance,or miracles. Miracles are Myths fabricated in religious circles to strengthen belief in a super human controlling power, namely the Christian Church to the effect that tithing is increased dramatically.
Miracles are all about Money, and as such are very important in religious circles.

Thank you for the reply. Not sure what you are saying here, so are you saying the doctors lied and the people involved to promote their own agenda or are you saying that its getting used to promote tithes?

Miracles are still possible today because it has already happened in my life. God healed me from asthma which I had been suffering ever since I was a child. The medicines that I have taken years back did not cure my illness. In the darkest moment of my life I repented of all my sins and surrendered myself to Jesus Christ. After my prayer of surrender, thorns in my heart were broken and I felt I was like a bird freed from the cage during that time. I have also found out that God has already healed me from asthma from that time on until now, asthma attacks have not recurred, praise God! What you related is just one of the many miracles God is doing in different nations everyday but the media downplay them because what they only want are sensational news and bad news. News about God's power making miracles would not buy to the market. Our atheistic and pagan world today just scoff at or frown over such things called as miracles because they have been deceived by Satan, the prince of the systems of this world. But God's children know that miracles still exist today because they, themselves, are the living miracles transformed by Him for all the world to see.

Hi EvanHunter,
Yes I agree this is a story of miracle. And yes, I do believe in miracles. They happen everywhere everyday, we just fail to notice them because they are usually overshadowed by big, nasty, sometimes scary events like disasters, poverty and wars. If we only look around and appreciate the good little things that happen to us, we will realize that life is not that bad after all.

Thank you for the reply. I am not sure it was actually downplayed but it seemed that it was with everything about the attempted plane bombing it sure got over shadowed.

Hi Evan Hunter: Miracles still exist because they don't make part of the past, they are with us. I trust in God and he send me help all the time, sometimes it's simple help, like the presence of someone else, an oportunity to be a better person, etc but some others he can help us with something else, that's what we call miracles. If God is with us nothing can destroy us. Thanks for sharing with us this new. Hope you are having a nice day. Happy New Year and Keep Mylotting. Take Care.

Hi EvanHunter.
I sure do believe miracles are possible--healing, physical changes. I know of a case where basic medical supplies were miraculously multiplied in -- I think it was in -- El Salvador. Supplies were being handed out to the needy and they were getting low. At one point one believer asked another as they were passing them out how many were left. He gave a number like 210 or something. About a half hour later the count was the same thought they passed out scores of supplies. They eventually had enough for the last person, a straggler.
In regard to this news story, though the medical staff worked on these people, imo, it is still a miracle even though God used humans. He could have very well willed that nothing they would do would work.

They worked on the baby but had given up on the mom and were about to give up on baby too. The doctor didn't want to say it was a miracle but couldn't explain it, she did however say she would take credit...lol.
