PETA uses Michelle Obama's picture to push their agenda

PETA is now running this Fur Free and Fabulous campaign and they've decided to use Michelle Obama as part of it in their ads. Not only has Michelle Obama objected to this, but as first lady she is not allowed to endorse special interest groups. PETA has refused to remove her from the ads claiming her past "anti-fur" statements mean she supports their agenda. Michelle Obama has said in the past that she does not own or wear fur. To me that is not an endorsement of PETA and their disgusting and aggressive tactics by any stretch of the imagination. He1l, I don't wear or own fur either, but that doesn't mean I support any of their crap. What do you guys think of this? Should special interest groups be able to use the image of the first lady to push their agenda even if she objects to it? Should they be forced to take the ads down? : http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_ts1047

Certain special interests and certain activism should be free of any laws or rules.. not! But that does seem to be what some of 'em think! - To me Jesus' turning over the tables of the moneychangers and saying "you have turned my father's house into a house of merchandise" (and "den of thieves") is a living parable of apocalypse..

I am not really sure of the legalities, but they should remove her image. She did not agree to it and PETA should be stopped.

PETA has no shame, I think we all know this. I would think Mrs. Obama would have legal recourse though, I would think at least. Granted, she isn't endorsing this herself, she is being used so she won't suffer any consiquences, other than having her name associated with those loons.

Well it is PETA after all, so not a surprise. They have endangered (and killed) countless animals so this isn't at all a stretch for them.

This is one of the high costs of fame on this level. The relationship millions have with the Obama's was not and still has not been normal fan-to-star admiration. There's some stalker-like pathology in folks, where they've taken the Obama's and made them their own instead of who they really are -- like perfect little playful pets. And the person or people at PETA responsible for this need their head(s) examined. Maybe try eating some meat. "You love me, I know it!" "No. I don't. Seriously." "But remember that one time you looked at me? I know you felt it!" "OMG! Are you insane!?" "PUT THE FU%$ING LOTION IN THE BASKET!"
