Superman is not allowed in Barber Shops and Beauty Parlors! |

| Because his hair breaks the scissors and his nails destroy the nailcutters.[em]doh[/em I mean, have you given it a thought? If he is Superman, then nothing about him is destructible unless around a Kryptonite, right? His hair doesn't get singed when he is in the middle of a raging fire, so how can a pair of scissors cut his hair, or how can nailcutters cut his nails? I'm sure I'm not the only who's had to ponder on this. So how come Clark Kent doesn't have hair that touches the ground, or nails that grew so long it coiled? Or is it just part of his being Superhuman that makes his hair and nails stop growing at a certain length? It is fiction but sure does challenge the logical mind. Superman is a mystery! But I certainly love his bangs. | | superman | | | | |

| | Have you ever seen the old black & white superman shows? I've always sondered why he ducked for a bullet..maybe he just didn't want his hair messed up, eh? For haircuts and trimming nails, I guess they'd have to use kryptonite tools. That's the only thing he can't stand up against. | | | | | | |

| | Hahaha @ kryptonite-based scissors, nailcutters, etc. You know there that would go, right? The next popular color for bathrooms and kitchens would be kryptonite. That would bring some of the wild colors from the 60's back. | | | |

| | Well didn't he come from superior genes? I bet they took care of all those minor problems that way. Hair and nails only grow so long then break off on their own in a predetermined pattern. Why not, he can fly can't he. | | | | | | |

| | I don't know how, until he was able to control these things, they didn't break things, sometimes they even showed things like that in the comics - tho I don't know why they'd break the scissors, since the human hand doesn't have to strength to do it, they should just stop the scissors - but now - he just uses his heat vision to cut them... I'm sure he could make a super mirror to do his hair | | | | | | |

| | Oh, well, I don't watch Smallville - in the comic the very idea that Lana would be a witch would be ridiculous - but they would sometimes address it in the comics where someone would take a scissor to Sup's (Clark generally) hair and the scissors would be seen breaking, just snapping off mid-blade - stupid. When he was a baby, they'd show Ma Kent getting baby Clark to use his heat vision to "cut" the thread on the blanket - but I don't see how the baby could have that much control - oh well, logic plays very little part in these things ya know. | | | |

| | The one that always drove me crazy was The Incredible Hulk. He was a skinny, short man until he went into a rage & then he exploded into The Hulk. The buttons popped off his shirt, his pants slid up his legs & tore just a little & his belt & shoes still fit. As much as he expanded, why wasn't he naked at the end??? | | | | | | |

| | I did see this one episode of superman (or was it a movie? I cant remember) where superman cut his hair on his face and head with his laser vision (since it comes from him it's logical that he can hurt or cut himself, including hair and nails), presumably he can also cut his nails with it if this is true as well. | | | | | | |

| | Lol, I don't know why he would punch himself, but yea I think he can hurt himself. There is one episode of Lois and Clark where Clark shaves using his laser vision (that's where I got it from), this was taken from the comic I believe, so it is probably correct as it is how the original writers wanted it. | | | |

| | I love lois and clark, I still watch it whenever I can. There are lots of explanations on how he cut's his hair, like the one about a kryptonite razor. There's also the one that says supergirl and krypto both focused their heat vision to cut his hair. Another explanation that I have heard is that under our yellow sun his hair does not grow, it only grows under his own planet's red sun. | | | |

| | Yea I have watched smallville, its a very good program. I'm not sure I like how vulnerable they make him lol, I have always thought since I was a child that he was invincible and could beat anyone unless they had kryptonite. My brother watches smallville all the time and has all the episodes up till now. He was actually watching it last night. I was going to watch it with him but decided not to because I was quite tired. | | | |

| | By the way, what season is he on right now? Season 9? Or 10? I don't have cable TV so I only get to download the past seasons. I'm currently looking for episode 15 and onwards of season 9. | | | |

| | I am not sure what season he is on at the moment, sorry. He gets all his from the net, so he gets the episodes quite quickly. Personally I prefer the Lois and Clark TV series, but that's just my opinion. I will watch a smallville with my brother every now and then though, it is kinda cool. | | | |

| | Yea, when I get time one day I will sit down for a while and watch the smallvilles. Even in Lois and Clark though he doesn't seem indestructible. There's like lots of inventions that can kill him or make him blind or deaf. I thought it was only Kryptonite that could weaken or kill him. I guess they cant make him completely indestructible though, otherwise there would be no story. | | | |

| | What's amusing about Smallville too is that there were many meteor rocks introduced there. There was red that made him extra naughty. There was blue that took away his powers. Silver which made him paranoid. And black which kind of separates him into two. It was fun seeing all those colorful rocks. They said they were all in the comic books too but I haven't gotten to read them. | | | |

| | Yea, the Kryptonite is good for the story line, but I'm not too sure about the other ways he can die, or the fact there are some people with the same powers as him. It kind of makes me feel like he is not special, like the main character should be. | | | |

| | Yes exactly how I feel when there are other people from Krypton who remained alive and got to Earth. It's like there's nothing Super about him snymore because they can do what he can. But philosophically speaking, what makes Superman different is because he was raised with human moral values, and love for human beings. So he's like half human and half alien, sort of like that. | | | |

| | I always hope that the other person with powers like his, either die, or get their powers taken away. =P I understand what your saying about him being raised by humans, but also what I think makes him special, is his dad was like a king or something on his planet. | | | |
