Basement Room  

Our last house, this one is pretty new...

The picture looks like it is coming along. I can't do any remodeling where I live since it is a rented apartment.

I had some painting done on the inside a few months ago but i have never added a room or anything like that. i know y'all will enjoy the new room when it gets done.

About five years ago...it started with replacing the floor in the kitchen...and it grew....ended up getting a new stool in the bathroom....new counter tops....new stove...seems like any time I start something like that it grows!

That's coming along very well, I can't wait to see the finished product!

The last time I did anything to my house was when my mom was here and had a hard time stepping into the tub to take a shower. I had the tub taken out and a shower put in, it looks very nice and probably added to the resale value but I surely do miss my tub! If I do anything else, it will probably be to put a nice deep tub in the basement--I'd like to make a tub area right outside the sauna where I can relax and soak. I probably won't, though, I'd rather save the money or replace the downstairs carpeting.

Yep Grandpa Bob you just need to get the son in law onthe ball and you will have a great basement room. We made the stupid mistake a number of years back of selling our house at the wrong time and trying to buy a new one.then we bought another house with a second mortage on it,which was to be paid off with the worm farm my husband was going to start.well he refused to study up on raising them and the bins he made had no bottoms so when '
the worms multiplied they all simply crawled out of his bins under the adjacent field. So no money from the worm farm at all and thus we were finally forced to sell that house. we ended up then renting apartments. so I never really got a chance to do more than paint some rooms in our first california apartment. loll

It is coming along fine, hope it will be all done before this Christmas, lol, just kidding, you are all doing a grand job of it. At the moment i am sleeping in the same bed as my hubby but I want to move in to the spare bedroom, so we are going to be doing it up and getting a new single bed for me, can't wait, I am moving into the spare room as I am a restless sleeper and kepts hubby awake and I'd rather leep alone and have the bed to myself, so I can move about as much as I can, lol.

That is so sweet that your daughter and your son-in-law are doing that for you for Christmas. We haven't had any major remodels lately. Same as always here =) I hope you enjoy your new basement room!!!

Its been a few years. I have lots of projects around the house I need to get too. I wish I had a basement to fix up. Your gonna be so happy when its done.
