Who are these 'they' you are talking about - may be a couple or two, may be a handful among a population of 1,99,959! It is your bad luck that you encountered them. There is a way of handling them. Just leave them be. Dont even comment. By making an issue here you have given them importance that they do not deserve. myLot management is alert about anyone passing on wrong information. Let there be no self appointed judges here.

oh it seems your hurt by that man, i see your response on that particular topic and a found it very informative and realistic ism taking up nursing so i can say whether it is real or not. as far i know it was real bypass is no ordinary procedures and possess great risk for infection and blood clot.

anyway don't be bother by that man its clear that he the one who don't know what he was talking about i don't to judge him my only remarks is he clearly doesn't know any think about the procedures.

I came across that discussion...number one it was a discussion from 9 months ago, so where did that person crawl from what rock to find it only recently..two that responder has been a member for four years very little points, and only 12 friends..gee, wonder why?
But yep....I've come across these turkeywads..maybe she's jealous you got best response???? LOL Pay no attention..I try not too also, but there are times I come across remarks against me and feel like throwing the computer out the window

a slightly similar thing happened to me recently in a discussion i started. some reinterpreted the title but some completely misunderstood it i just decided not to answer anymore.

i don't want to say education is overrated because it's important. there are also many people who are self-educated because they read a lot. but i also believe common sense, having an open mind and being considerate is something we can all learn in and out of the classroom.

i'm sorry this happened to you but i'm afraid you're not the first or last because there's just so many of us here it's bound to happen.

My feeling on this is that these people have a lot of anger they are carrying from other parts of their life. They take it out on strangers on the Internst because it is "safe" for them to do so.

Realize that you are not the real target of their anger and hostility. They must be carrying a lot of pain. That thought helps me take a more charitable attitude than I would otherwise have.

There is no point in letting their anger engender anger in you. Or in letting a stranger who can't be civil in public hurt you. Try to brush it off as you would a pesky fly. That's about how much attention they deserve IMHO. {{{hug}}}

I seem to recall a chewing out in a discussion about L. Frank Baum and whether The Wizard of Oz had political motives. I simply stated that I wasn't aware of that and that I had done some very limited Googling and couldn't find anything on the subject. About got mah head bit clean off! The person could simply have said that if I have time to do further research, I would find that what he was stating was well documented, or some such thing. Oh well...

I know what you mean. I guess there are people who are a little insecure and need to dominate and denigrate others, and the internet gives them anonymity, so many feel they can be rude. My advice to you is just to ignore it and not let it get to you.

That's part of the MyLot experience, I am afraid.

Some days there are perfectly delightful people who disagree with you but do not like to hurt your feelings, and then there are the idiots who bawl you out, even if they agree with half of what you say, as they can't stand the thought of being pleasant ....

Fortunately I don't meet the latter very often!

Unfortunately there will always be the odd one or two people here, who feel they are entitled to be nasty or unpleasant. Just ignore them hun, in the end they are the ones that look foolish

This isn't the first time I've come across a discussion like this, and I'm going to offer the same advice as I did before. This is a discussion forum with a large number of members. People are different there is no denying that. Not everyone is going to agree and there are those who chose to voice their disagreements. It may not be ideal, but you need not take comments or replies too personally. Its not worth it.
