Do you believe in the second coming of Christ?  

A lot of people can see the same Scriptural truth in the Bible and interpret it in different ways. How do you know which interpretation is correct? The Bible can't interpret itself, there has to be human authority to interpret it. In my case, this authority comes from the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Okay, my response had been too short. What I meant is that not all humans can interpret the Bible accurately. Even some church leaders make mistakes.

You can't have humans interpret the bible for you.You have to read the bible and let the bible interpret itself,that's how you'll truly get a correct meaning.I learned to do that myself and now I understand the bible alot better.I used to be confused because I allow others to help me,and it don't work that way.

yeah right, i seconded... human are subject to errors ... i better rely on the holy spirit which is freely given instantly by God.

The Bible is evident enough for me.You have to interpret the bible yourself and not allow others to do it.That way you can see for yourself the true meanbing of it.He is coming again .Jesus promised he is,and Jesus isn't a liar.It's all in the bible.People just become confuesd because of all these4 different religions.As for the religions I feel they all can't be right?I believe we'll find the real truth out at Jesus second coming.I don't expect you to believe it.Everyone will have a chance,I'll leave it at that.

hello!! i am very impressed to each individuals opinion and comments, One thing i noticed now is that we commonly read the Bible. Well, for me too, i think religions need to take extra care of people inside the community... so as not to mislead and misguided everyone. There is no such thing as reliable source of person because we are only humans therefore we are subject to errors. I therefore, seek the Holy Spirit for He is the PERFECT and instant.

Yes cristobert, if that is what you believe in... to believe which is against your faith does not justify for you. Stick to what you think is right because the Holy spirit is the one who is guiding all of us...

You're right about that.You can only go by the signs of the end time prophecy,and Isee it going on now.I have to say I'm excited for him to come back.I do hate the way the world is.Jesus says you're not supposed to love this world,and I definately don't.

Java, I agree! It is said that the end of the world shouldn't be feared because it signals Jesus' coming, which is a very amazing thing! Can't wait to see him.

Its a good thing that we are excited to see Him and not really afraid of his coming. I just think that we need to prepare ourselves spiritually for us to be able to look at Him in the eye and tell Him that we did our best while we were on Earth.

Exactly right, in order to be ready at all times we should accept God with all our hearts and spirit. Only in spirit we can communicare in Him because he has put HIs holy spirit to renew our lives.

I didn't know you're an adventist.I did worship with them for awhile.I believe in the seventhday sabbath,but I disagreed with a few of their doctrines so I stopped going.I do know I'm excited for Jesus' second coming.I hate this world the way it is,so he needs to come soon for us.

Yes, we hate this world the way it is. It is still beautiful and opportunities abound, but as we can see, it is already an aging world with its tectonic plates moving restless, skies already destroyed resulting to global warming, and the people becoming more evil for personal gain... Jesus must come as soon as possible to end these awful things and renew the earth.. Other people will disagree... Okay... This is my belief.. Other doctrines are not acceptable to me.. like the doctrine of the mainstream Church.. like dead people's soul going directly straight to heaven or hell after death, and God leaving the sufferings on this earth to exist like this forever..

I'd like to ask other people here who believe in the world's mainstream doctrine, those who believe in "life after death", those who believe in "purgatory".. is this okay for you? Are you okay with "No second coming, dead people's souls going straightly to heaven, purgatory, or hell, or reincarnated after death leaving the world behind, and God leaving this world as it is and sufferings to continue forever? Are you okay with this? Me, not okay..

I know this is a sensitive issue because this touches religion, I'd like to ask, "Have you evaluated your doctrines?". I just wonder what will be happen to this world if this kind of world continue to exist forever... In my understanding, the doctrine of life after death strongly opposes the doctrine of second coming. If we people, when we die, go straightly to purgatory, and after some cleansing or investigation, some go to heaven while others go the other way to hell, this really disregard the need for Christ second coming. It's like saying "There is no need for second coming, we don't need Christ second coming anymore, because we can go directly to heaven when we die"... "those who are left behind still living in earth, wait for your turn (wait for your death) to experience heaven!" .. and sorry for the ailing earth, it will continue ail and suffer forever :-\

Thanks for all of your opinion and comments, all of us has its own views of life base on different prospect of interpretation. Others rely on science, some on facts and experiences while other rely on the bible as the most scriptured and the rest are just following others.That is why, we never be united if we continue to inject every believers what we believe in ourselves. God doesn't want that way... instead He wants us to love one another because that is the most and greatest gift of all.

For me, i dont rely on everyone else, But for the HOLY SPIRIT which is the only reason that Jesus Christ died for us, so that God can send His Holy Spirit to all of us.And that is His NEW covenant and already fulfilled through death of Jesus without HIS death God will not send his Spirit to us because of his LOVE no human being are worthy enough to be a savior of all but only his devoted Son. If we rely on our church teachings, we can never be united because every church has its own way of serving the Lord where in fact contradicts to other church areas. Church is not perfect because the people inside the church is not perfect too. Only the HOLY Spirit is the key to answer because He is the only Perfect of all. GOD is a universal God whatever you are and whenever you might be or Whoever we are... still HE is right there for us everytime just continue pursuing and believing..

You doubt the first advent of Jesus? Why? Are the "New Testaments" books compiled in the Bible not enough to convince you? Are the content of the books, from Genesis to Revelation, not enough to convince you? The content of the Bible is coherent with the world history. If you are well-versed with "World History", why is it the Bible is coherent with World History when the writers were not related to each other?! Are those things not enough to convince you?

If you don't believe in Christ 1st and 2nd advent, it also means you don't believe in the Bible too. If you doubt the credibility of the Bible, how come all the writers of the Bible jived with their writings? One writer existed many years before another writer existed .. How come their writings jived?! With the coherence of all the books of the Bible, this a "clear scientific evidence" to me!:)

Hi barehugs, you really are a reader! thanks for sharing your opinion too. I guess, "To see is to believe" is what you are leading into. Well, there is nothing wrong with it in order not to mislead and diverted. I know you also believe in God just continue on having faith with Him that is all that matters.

I'm not a muslim but I do believe in Christs second coming.I do believe in the end of the age there will be an antichrist that fools everyone into believe he is of God,and some will fall for it and follow him.I'm a christian ,but I do not hate any muslims.I believe we should love everyone.Jesus was here spreading God's love,He does not want us to hate.

Hi! i am curious about what other religions are up into. Muslims are not a small but large areas of believers too. But they also believe in Jesus hah! All i can say is that, God is a universal God though relgions are many but i think all of them are teaching the good ways and serving the Lord in their own ways too. There is only two directions which is one to the LORD and the other to DESTRUCTION. and only two answers which is "YES" or "NO" anything else is not with GOD. A tree has only one trunk but with many branches and twigs.

Hi! thanks for your opinion. I also read the bible and comes to think the same way too. on the other hand, Spirit form can also be an another way because God can communicate us with his holy spirit. That is why he is sending it to us.

God speaks to us through HIS Holy Spirit that gives us the strength to resist evil and to keep from doing things that God does not want us to do. It is not like a phantasm that appears in front of us ala Harry Potter or a voice that appears in our heads and says "Thou should not worry too much." It is in our hearts now so we lose interest in doing those things that we wanted to do before. I guess that is what they call the still small voice.
But when HE comes in HIS glory it will be a physical form as well as the spiritual form together. Only the physical form will no longer be subject to decay.

Hi! thanks for your opinion too. Everyone are always right in our opinion and ideas because that is ours. We just want that during that judgment we can stand with our head eyes on God and no guilt feeling left behind.

yah, right. I believe in the bible too. It is just like a compilation of true stories during the times we are not there to witness the true events of the situations. To seek for the truth is our nature way since we are capable of having senses and thinking. To seek for spiritual truth is another way of expressing.
