Yes! I have been doing this since 2003. Though I don't go every year. I missed out a couple of years back.

That is a really good. I've only been running for about 8 months now. I hope I can continue a few events as a yearly tradition too.

I like participating on events for a cause like this. There's no awards to think about, no goals of winning whatsoever. Just the thought of doing all these for something worthwhile is enough for me.

Plus it gets me fit. I can exercise for just an hour or so and I get to make friends with other participants.

Do you have a uniform?

I doubt we can meet if I told you earlier that I'd be there. There are lots of people there. Have you seen Piolo or Maricar?

Five kilometers is just a short jog. You can do it for an hour if you walk it through. I do a combination of jog and walk. Most of the time I walk. Hehehe.

If you run with your friends along with you, it could be fun and you will not notice it that you have ran already that far. So I guess, the trick is, if you are not really a runner but you want to do it for a cause, bring along some friends so you can have fun at the same time!

The thing is if you have friends with you but they want to finish ahead of everyone else you can still be left behind.

I have friends with me but I can't keep up with them. I just walk most of the way to the finish line. While my friends kept on running.

That's true. Especially if you have friends that are really runners, or they do jog for exerecise, or they simply are fast runners. I was only giving adhyz82 a tip since he said he doesn't know if he can run 5 kilometers. Thats the very basic tip, get someone to run with you. So you will be encouraged to do so.

Wow, that is incredible that he did a full triathlon. I would love to do one someday. But currently, even a sprint triathlon scares me because I'm so bad at swimming.

It's funny that it is the swimming part of it that worries me the least. I've been a swimmer all my life and last summer I started using a road bike again for the first time in several years. But, I've never been brave enough to get off my tail and start training to run. I will do it though.
