why people whisper in ears ?   

i think it is ignorant for people to whisper while we are in a group. it reminds me in class when we would whisper to each other. the teacher would say if you have something to say share it with us. it is annoying.

ksmita I think its really rude for someone to whisper when sitting in
a group. let them do that in private. talking in a foreign language or whispering secrets in public like that. let them do these things at home
where they will not upset anyone.Those behaviors are indeed not appropriate and should be done at home by themselves.

I think that people who whispers in other peoples ears are very rude and i am sure that they would not like it if others done that infront of them.I think people having mobile phones they can tell each other secret things that they do not want other people to know.I also think that if you have something private to say there are times aswell as places to say them when there is no other people around.

I feel that there is a time and a place for secrets and if you are in an area where it's urgent that you must tell someone something yet do not want to tell everyone surrounding you then you could even just discreetly send them a text message, it's not hard to be discrete in this day and age.

I can't stand it if I am in a room with some people and there is whispering going on as it just feels like people are gossiping or being rude behind my back, it is enough to drive me paranoid!

That's why they are called secrets because it has to be known for limited number of people only. Although, I kinda agree that it is quite inappropriate for people to whisper in a group but you know, just be passive and get used to it. It does not make you any richer anyway if you are going to know their secrets. Not unless of course they're talking about a million dollar baby. LOL

I was raised that it was rude to whisper in someone's ear when in the company of others and that it's also rude, in that situation, to pass notes. I raised my children the same way. I also found it annoying when people did this and, no, I'm not okay with it.

Me too, I hate it ksmita. It's rude, crude and horribly impolite. Hatley is right, too. Using foreign language is another sign of poor breeding and I can't stand it.
When will some people ever learn.
Well, all we can do is doing the right thing and teach them through examples.

I too hate when people do this, its very rude of them. I hate when your at a table or something with friends or family and 2 or more begin whispering to one another, and giggle or something, because that's usually what happens and there is absolutely no need for people to do this, there is no reason why they cannot wait until they are alone to talk about whatever they're secret was.

maybe because they don't want someone else to hear that what they are saying to the person they whisper :)
it is also possible that they just don't want to disturb the people around if they are on some meeting or something else, where people should keep silence!

Hi, ksmita. Yes, I am the same way. It is like they are talking or gossiping about you or saying something bad. I also don't like when people whisper as soon as I would come into the room. It does make me feel odd, as if they are trying to hide something private from me. Sometimes, I wonder if it is me that they are talking about. I just may never know. I don't like rude people at all.
