A Visit from the Easter Bunny |
| |
| This little guy was making eyes at my lettuce, I think, but then he went out to the street in front of my home and dared me to take a picture. It was nice of him to sit still long enough for me to run and get the camera. Do you like rabbits? Which do you prefer: chocolate bunnies, real ones like in my photo, or some other kind? HAPPY EASTER, everyone. | | Easter Bunny | | | | |

| | Rabbits are great fun. I had one as a pet when I was in high school. She was litter box trained and would play ball. Her favorite snack food was either potato chips or popcorn. We would let her out of her cage and she would hop over to my dad, sit up on her back legs and wait for him to give her a snack. She was so cute. Only problem is that a rabbit's life span is not that long. | | | | | | |

| | I sincerely believe it was an Easter present from that rabbit to me as I have tried SO many times to capture one in a photography and this is the first time I got even close. Your high school rabbit sounds SO cute. Thank you for sharing, although it is sad to know that she did not live long. One gets quite attached to a nice pet like that. | | | |

| | I hid behind the corner of the house to take the picture, and when I stepped forward to get a closer shot, he vanished into thin air. My neighbor's cat won't let me take a picture of him, so I know what you mean. Happy Easter, Kathy. | | | |

| | I know that one from Tales of the Panchatantra. I was a teenager when I read that delightful book. It is wonderful that now some of these stories are available to view online: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ6_8pkr4tE | | | |

| | I know of only two rabbits in our area. One of them lives under our shed. My wife took carrot pulp out to where it comes out from under the shed. Hope it can get some before it freezes but if the rabbit doesn't eat it, it will make good compose. My daughter used to have one for a pet but they kept dying off so she doesn't want any more. | | | | | | |

| | How sweet! That is something we could do with the pulp left behind in the juicer when we make carrot juice. Usually I put it in ginger cookies or carrot cake, or even cornbread, but the bunnies would probably love some too. | | | |

| | I will tell my wife that. WE do have cornbread every once in awhile. I wonder how it would work in soup. I fix soup all the time. | | | |

| | Hey drannhh! How perfectly adorable! Do you have rabbits visiting you often? I wish we had rabbits here where I live! We used to many years ago when I was a little girl and lived in Long Island! Every now and then we would see a rabbit! Now I just see squirrels, racoons and skunks! And could definitely do without the latter! They should be coming out of hiding very soon! I have to be really careful at night when I go to take out the trash because I have come face to face with more than one of those black and white critters and I know that I was the more scared and ran like hell back in the house as fast as I could!lol Happy Easter to you too! | | | | | | |

| | Yes, they come every day. Haven't had a skunk at my place yet, but we smelled one not long ago when a neighbor and I were driving the security cart around on our neighborhood watch patrol. | | | |

| | Wow..that's so cute. The only rabbits I've seen in real have been really dirty :( Mostly in the zoological parts. Obviously no one takes care of them. I prefer the rabbit pictures especially the ones in children's books...they are so cute and fluffy. Happy Easter to you and your family! | | | | | | |

| | I wasn't close enough to see the zoological parts of these rabbits. I used a telephoto lens for the picture, rflol! ACK! | | | |

| | My parents raised rabbits for a while when I was a kid and they had a special screen "floor" in the rabbit hutches so that the droppings fell through and we slid out a drawer underneath to empty the stuff. So really those rabbits were pretty clean. I have not gotten close enough to these wild ones like the fellow in my photo to know if they are clean or not. They sure look cute from a distance, but they take off fast if anyone tries to get near. That is probably a good thing too. We have ground squirrels in the neighborhood that are positively mangy looking. | | | |

| | Thank you for uploading such a pretty Easter graphic. Yes we have to be careful of those carnivorous creatures. I am thinking of the neighbor's big dogy. Of my 5 closest neighbors, five of them have at least one dog. The requirement in my gated community is no more than 25 lbs per animal, but this one is bigger than that. So much for the rules. | | | |

| | Nice! Eventhough I am a slight bit late at responding, happy belated Easter to You! Silly Wabbit, he may want to get off the street before a big car comes by! Great photo by the way. Thanks for sharing. I love bunnies, especially chocolate ones. Temporarily cures my chocoholic cravings you know. I love wild bunnies, the jack rabbits but out in the woods away from the fields so to not wreck havoc on them, digging holes as this is dangerous for livestock, especially the horses! The bunny in your photo looks like a Jack Rabbit. Is this a wild bunny? There is something about a white angora bunny. So soft, white and clean. I think that these are my favorite by far for sure, even over the chocolate ones. | | | | | | |

| | He is a neighborhood bunny, part wild and part jackrabbit I think, but not like the ones we have at our other place, where they are "authentic" jackrabbits with huge ears and muddier coloring and so BIG that when they come bounding out of nowhere they are actually a bit scary. Yes, the white angora ones are lovely! | | | |

| | Nice, we used to have wild Jack rabbits as well. I seen one just yesterday in fact, bolting out of the bushes. He was a small one, I think a baby but it was still startling. I like to see the bunnies in the wild but I do not like the holes that they can dig. Yes, angoras are so soft and pretty. I love to feed the pet bunnies grass and dandelions. | | | |
