Conservative blacks are tired of being called uncle tom's.   

I've tried the historical approach, they're not hearing it. History has been so twisted in our school's textbooks people don't believe what you tell them about it anyway. Slick move on their part...two generations who haven't a clue as to what they're giving up by electing these people to power.

Pretty worrying when someone native to a different country knows more than the average native about a really important part of your countries' history.

Also, saying that people should vote/support someone because of their skin colour is pretty insulting. Both to the people doing the supporting - you're so shallow that you can't judge a persons worth other than by their colour - and the person they are "supposed" to support - you're policies are so worthless that the only thing we should judge you on is your colour.

I do not agree with the current administration in all respects. I am not a liberal, and the rest of the citizenry of America is fast becomming skeptical of the current liberal administration and Congress as well. They're recognizing the blantant socialization of our government and do not care for it.
Americans are waking up to what has been going on for the last forty years, from the dumbing down of our schools, to the liberals agenda to destroy our Constitution.

It's a generalisation - and therefore inaccurate in many cases - but I do find the general downward trend in the standards of education in many western countries to be particularly disturbing. An ignorant populace tends not to complain about their lot.

I've often read comments about Obama being a liberal. To me, as a foreigner, he doesn't seem liberal, he seems socialist. I guess calling himself a socialist would not be a good career move.

In our culture, liberal and socialist go hand in hand. I am not familiar with European or Asian and African politics. I do not know how they label their political parties. I do know that Socialism has failed all over the globe and yet here we are...

I'm not really sure that my definition of liberal is that standard, it's a bit old fashioned. However, in the UK, we have three main parties, Labour - theoretically socialist, Conservative - theoretically right-wing and the Liberal-Democrats, who are more middle of the road and, as you can tell from the name, theoretically Liberal.

I think in the US, any party that called itself socialist wouldn't get anywhere. So, they don't. Politicians lying, now there's a novelty.

That's the trouble, they deny being socialists. And the gullible believe them. There is so much name calling going on it is difficult to sort out what the political ideologies of the speakers really are.

I read a book call Sinisterism. Forgot the auther...google it and read it. It surmises that labels don't mean a thing in this climate. They ALL are not to be trusted.

We're going to have an election next month, and the parties are all publishing their manifestos. I've only heard snippets, but even the supposedly right wing Conservatives have an element of socialism in their plans. The problem is, once you start giving stuff away, you can't stop. Bread and circuses the Romans called it.

I shall actually be voting in this election, but against Labour rather than for anybody. It's too dangerous to allow Labour another five years in office. It may already be too late to turn back from the road to a police state they've sent us down.

Incidentally, I have considered the current Labour (left wing) party to be more than somewhat fascist in their views. This is supported by the fact that when Labour lost a lot of support recently, quite a bit of it went to the British Nationalist Party. Who can trace their origins back to Oswald Mosley and the British Union of Fascists - who, as you probably haven't heard of them, thought Hitler was on to a good thing.

If you are going to level the playing field, you need a big stick. That's what people forget...if government can tell us we have to buy insurance for our cars and now our health, perhaps we should wonder what next...if someone could be put in jail for not having insurance...and don't tell me it won't happen...people go to jail for not having car insurance all the time....they can put us in jail for anything.

The UK, over our current Glorious Leader and his Glorious Predecessor, have significantly advanced up the police state rankings. Governments tell us that the innocent have nothing to fear from the law, which is one of the stupidest statements ever.

I've lost track being offline for three whole months of all that is going on. Our small town newspaper and Springfield, MO news stations don't provide much national news. Not to mention I've also been without satellite TV and don't get FOX anymore. But I do listen to the radio when in the car, so I am trying to catch up with all that is happening. It was sorta nice to be out of the loop for awhile. Much less stress on the old nervous system. lol

You are correct in your assessment of what happens whem Dems are in control. I live in the Ozarks of Missouri and the population is really discontent and most of them are poor and were long time Democrats. There's a lot of talk of voting them all out, or voting Independent. Ron Paul's name is mentioned alot.

I've gotten use to being the hated or despised conservative. I also have resigned myself to being put down for being a believer in God and calling myself by the name Christian. I consider it an honor to be an outcast when the ruling elite are who they are. I am proud not to be identify with there policies and platforms. I see many who may not agree on all conservative issues, but who are willing to tolerate minor differences to get America back from those trying to destroy her.

They are called Uncle Toms for not backing Massa in the big White House....which is how I see it. Do as I say without using your mind, cause I own you. I admire ANYONE who can stand up and think for themselves. It seems it is a rare commodity these days.

I can only speak for myself, and it doesn't bother me at all. As for anybody else, well maybe some Democrats think the black vote belongs to them or something.

Then let your Democratic representatives and Congress person know how you feel!

They're hypocrits (Democrats) to say they want choice for minorities and then when minorities choose for themselves, they're called names and marginalized by those who supposedly are the "only" ones on their side, the Democratic liberals. If this doesn't prove that they're liars I don't know how else to prove it!
