Canon 550D vs 7D |
| |
| Can anyone tell me which of this is best to invest? I have seen many comparison reviews about this 2 powerful Canon cameras but I'm confuse which one should I get. The 7D boasts 18 megapixel, 8.5 frame rate/sec, and is HD ready but its much costly and bulkier while 550D has same specs in 7D and the only difference is 3.7 frames rate/sec and its much fair in price. Has anyone have these DSLR cameras? If so how is one really differ to one another in terms in lighting, still, sharpness and etc. you know what I mean.. Some people also state that the 550D is a baby version of 7D. | | | | | |

| | Oh Ixus its a nice compact camera. I've heard over my friends that has good picture quality and most likely to compete other compact cameras. ^^ | | | |

| | The difference really comes down to how much you're willing to spend and whether or not you plan on upgrading later. The 7D is hot stuff but it's a professional camera. The tools, menus etc all speak the language that a professional would understand (assuming that they worked their way up). Whereas the 550d is more in the prosumer range of cameras. Both are advanced in their own ways but in the end when you pay for more you get more for your buck. Canon has always been good in terms of delivering cameras that take great pics with respect to lighting, quality pictures and all that jazz. I saw a review that did say the 550d is a baby version of 7d and rightly so. Big mama 7d does it big! | | | | | | |

| | Well I'm think I have a final decision for it. I want to buy the 550D.. The reason is that its versatile than the 7D. 7D is very heavy but got strong alloy. I saw the difference in price of both cams but 550d price is almost 50% off 7Ds price. So far both of them are using Digic 4 system. That is good at least. ^^ | | | |

| | Well I have experience and yes I'm going to the cheaper one or rather the affordable one. I'm thinking why blowout so much bucks if both are in good quality.. and only a minimal slight change on features. ^^ | | | |

| | If I was the one that was making this choice, then there would really be no question in my mind. I would go with the 550D. The reason that this would be the proper choice for me is the fact that I like to save money where saving money is possible. Besides that, I don't take a lot of high action photography so I really don't have a need to have a frame rate of 8.5 per second. As far as the other abilities of the cameras, I've found that all of the Canon DSLRs are about the same when it comes to these. | | | | | | |

| | Yeah I'm going for the 550D. I'm just wondering why did canon do this? They are going to compete their own products.. I just don't understand.. They should really make some few adjustment if the prices is worth it. 550D is just slightly have a disadvantage and plus the body is just plastic.. that's it. | | | |
