Good for you!! I got a new laptop a few months back and did my own happy dance. It's so nice that the prices have down so much that we can get speedier downloads for a reasonable price. Don't forget to set up your virus software or have one of the geeks do it for you! Take care!!

Don't forget there are many FREE downloads you can have and all are safe.

OpenOffice (full version) for domestic use only. (I think just as good as office works)
Adobe reader
Pop up blockers
AVG (anti virus).

Take your time when selecting these to be sure you get full versions and free and no trial periods. Many do say for home or domestic use only, that's important

Always ask for full version free download.
Also make sure they are not a trial period.

That is excellent! I wish I could afford to get a digital camera right now and in a few years, a new computer. Not that long ago, my husband bought a printer/scanner/copier-love that thing, love it!

I'm so happy for you!!! Newer, faster, better. Buying a new computer is like Christmas morning, isn't it? Even if we buy them for ourselves, there's still something so special about opening that box and setting up the new computer.

It's a pain trying to get everything we want one the new computer but it's soooo worth it. I just recently got a netbook and I adore it! I have a desktop that I use occasionally but I'm almost always on the netbook. I had a laptop that's pretty much on it's last legs but it's still useful so I gave it to my son. This netbook is so much lighter than the laptop. It makes it much easier for me to carry around. AND, I've been thinking about taking it out on my boat when I go fishing on the lake. I can hook it up to my cell phone for internet connection, put my line in the water, sit back and get my myLotting fix at the same time. How cool is that???

Anyway, I'll be waiting to see how fast your typing is now that you have your brand new, just out of the box, ultra cool computer. And what a GREAT price!!!
