Jehovah Witnesses Vs Kirby Vacuum Cleaner Salesmen  

Kirby vacuum cleaners SUCK.........Jehovah Witnesses win.

Hi gewcew, I'm one of those fortunate people who don't know the The Kirby Vacuum Cleaner Company or it's salesmen. I am however familiar with the Jehovah's Wittinesses and from the way you explain it, maybe your husband had the right idea lol! You say that the Wittinesses left after giving you their material so I guess the worst experience would have to be the salesmen. I'm surprised you got rid of the Witnesses so easy, once they get there foot in the door you often have to threaten to break it. Blessings.

I haven't had any Kirby salesmen but I knew someone who sold Rainbow vacuum cleaners and Amway and I have come to the conclusion that both are cults.

I have a problem with Jehovah Witnesses. I always talk to them, even invite them in, but soon after I begin to explain my beliefs to them they run out, never to return. I have to move to a new address to get them to return, I think they mark the house.

It's a tough call, but in the end, even if you fell for the JW's advertising, it wouldn't cost you money. On the other hand, they wouldn't clean your house.

Given a choice, I would pick the JWs but then, I like that sort of exchange of ideas. I could easily dislodge the salesman with a quick glance at my credit report and bank (im)balance.

Here is a little secret to help keep them away. Draw a chalk outline of a body in your driveway, then scatter some watchtowers and a couple of vacuum bags. Hopefully this will help, you may have to touch up the outline after rain...

I haven't seen a Kirby vacuum in a long time. But once I had a friend call me and wanted me to go over and help her get rid of some Filter Queen salespeople, which I did. But I haven't had any one call me to help them get rid of the Jehovah's Witnesses yet. So vacuum salespeople are worse!

If you can get the JWs on their own they are often very nice people - but when they are doorstepping they often turn into weird robot-like creatures who drive you nuts.

Kirby salesmen are trained using similar techniques to those given to doorstep evangelists.

It's a tough call but I think Kirby are worse - the Witnesses at least believe they are trying to help you, the Kirby salesmen just want your money.

I think if I had a kirby salesman I'd set Henry on him - Henry is a brand of vacuum cleaner with a smiley face (and a sturdy metal pipe that you can get a good swing with).

At one time I lived in a mobile home community. Every type of salesperson filtered through there weekly. Kirby salespeople were the most frequent. They would try to give something free for demonstrating their sweeper in your home. Before you knowe it, you are buying a sweeper you really don't need or want. I'm not sure about Jehovah witnesses, but we had our fair share of people at the door trying to away you to their religions. Sometimes it's just not worth opening the front door.

I am not familar with the Kirby Salesmen so I guess that is a plus to me (or maybe them since I am participating i digging their grave of some sorts here) .

The Jehovah's Witnesses are a totally different story. In my experience they are much like the salesmen you described. I have become so intolerant towards them its not funny. I just do not even allow them to come through my gate anymore. They call out and I say to them "Sorry we cant accommodate you now. We are having a family moment." Its usually that way for real. We would either be sitting watching TV and chatting when they stop by. They always come on a holiday when they figure most people are at home. They are always an unwelcomed guest.

I used to stop for a while and chat with them. The last one I accommodated actually told me that she knew people of their congregation who are in the elite 144 0000 which they are so keen on. Those are the only ones who will live in heaven while the rest of them will live on earth.

I asked her if she was really asking me to think of another man higher than myself. PLAESE.... There is nothing more offensive than the so called elite with any religious body. I do not like when people try to suck up to me because they think I am all that and I lost certainly do not suck up to anyone because they are qoute 'n' qoute elite. Not at church, work or anywhere else. So to invite me to be a part of a body which already dictates that some select persons are garanteed a space in heaven while the rest are deligated to a lower space is like offering me muddy water to quench my thirst.

One bible story which should put that to rest is that of the rich man Lazarus and the poor beggar. On earth Lazarus was so high and mighty he wouldnt even yield to the poor beggars plea for assistance. At the end of their lives while Lazarus was there in the fire he looked and beheld the poor beggar in heaven. At that point Lazarus would no doubt give anything to have that poor beggar (now in a far better position than he was in) wet his lips with a little water.

Many of those so called elite within all denominations will be like Lazarus.

On that note.... I dont want the Witnesses in my home talking crap anymore than I want an annoying sales man. My vote is that they both be given the boot. If the salesman comes with a great deal and a great product then he can definately check back.

Well I know how to get rid of the Jehovah Witnesses.
But, I don't know how to get rid of the Vacuum Cleaner Kirby.
So, I would say the Kirby would win.


The Jehovah Witness is easily angered when you throw the last page of the bible in there faces. (I don't mean throw as in really throwing.)
I always tell them to read the last page of the bible.
When they do, I tell them what they have read.
"Nothing in the Bible is to be taken out or changed. Who so ever does this will be coursed... These are false Prophets."(A Jehovah Witness is a false Prophet.)
When you say False prophets, be careful. There eyes turn to fire and they want to kill you. But they never come back afterwards!
Try it, you will be amazed at how affective the truth is.

The sad thing is, that most of these people are really very nice.
They are humans like you and me. But they have be brainwashed into believing that what they believe. And the "Big Boss", is collecting all their money!
So, it is not really there fault. The people you don't see, the people behind the screens, they are the ones making these people believe they have to give up everything for there Boss. (The leader of the Jehovah Witness.)
Sad, even marriages get broken up because of this religion.
