Would you let your 12 yr old child get a tattoo!!??  

OMG, For real!? The girl is still too young for a tattoo, and guys with tattoo projects or gives bad impressions to other people, especially that she is still turning 12. This might lead your daughter in to more serious problems, like alcohol and drugs if she just get easily permitted by your ex husband.

The idea of a tattoo makes me shudder so does earpiercing so I'm probably the last person to ask! But tattoos are permanent aren't they? How about your daughter trying a transfer for a while, it'll give her an idea of what a tattoo feels like but can be removed. Maybe you, your ex and daughter can agree this temporary solution to see if your daughter REALLY likes a tattoo or is just copying her dad and giving you a hard time (result or what! ).

A Big NO no. Even if they grow old i would not allow them to have a tatoo. not gonna happen.

that is far too young to get a tattoo because it is so invasive. plus as her body changes, it will change (because she is not full grown as of yet). i think it is a bad idea.

Here in the UK, it is illegal to get a tattoo until you are 18 years old. I think 12 is far too young and also they are still growing, so the skin will grow and stretch and it will distort the picture of the tattoo. I have 2 tattoos, I had them done in my 20s. They age over time too, so they need to be touched up after a few years if the colours start to fade.

I got my first professional tattoo when I was 15 so of course I'm going to be on the husbands side. I had always wanted one, the only reason I bought cracker jacks was to get the temporary tattoos that came as prizes. I really don't think its that big of a deal. I gave myself one when I was 12, which looked like crap, and finally got it covered up when i was 18. If I would of been able to get one at 12 then i wouldn't have walked around with garbage on my arm for 6 years. My only worry would be her regretting the butterfly later. butterflies are so trendy and she may rebel against mainstream some day.

One, investigate if any artist that is reputable, will actually tattoo her. Another thing is, try and compromise, 16 is a more realistic age, honestly. Find some way to compromise, or create an avenue in which she has to earn it, study, prove she has done her research on it.

I think he wants to annoy you and have your daughter on his side so that he can manipulate her and even you if you let him. I wouldn't allow my 12 year old daughter to get a tattoo. As my mother used to say your body is mine until you turn 18 in the meantime you do what I say.

I would never allow a 12 year old to get a tattoo. Children are too young for the responsibilty of having a tattoo. When they are of legal age is when a tattoo should be comsidered.

It is impossible for me to let my child to get a tattoo, especially when the child is still so little. We don't have any tattoos. It may not be good, but here people tend to think that the one who has a tattoo is not a very good person. Sometimes the tattoo is a logo for the gangs. And if one day you feel regretful to have this tattoo, it is too difficult to remove it.
