Does Your Town Have A Historical Landmark?  

I am from the Philippines and I know Philippines has a lot of Historical Landmark, here in out town particularly LEYTE is also reach in Historical Landmarks. It is where Gen. Douglas McArthur famous word " I shall return" happened.Here in our town the Famous first Lady Imelda Marcos Resides

We have many. Several buildings down town are historical landmarks. We have a part of the Oregon Trail nearby. A motel downtown is a historical landmark as well. So we have several. We drive near them often. I frequented the buildings when younger too. We used to have a old car museum here. We have a airplane museum in Mountain Home which is a town close by too.

No, but we once had an airport. I found out about it yesterday. There was a crash, though, and it went bankrupt. This was in the late 1920s. It was really weird to find this out almost 100 years later.

My city Bangalore (South India) has a famous Government Assembly Building, which is famous for it's architecture and construction skills. It is called VIDHANA SOUDHA. Soudha means big building. When something about our City is shown in the TV channels, they show this building only. I am very proud of that building. Whenever I pass through that building, I take a detailed look of that building to my heart's content. Now they made a mini Vidhana Soudha also next to that building.

no our town is very old and it doesnt have any good thing.. ofcourse historcal things are here but i dont like any of them i want futuristic

We have the MOrman Fort here. THey have re done it to look like it did back in the 1800s When Las Vegas was called The Meadows adn had the only water for miles now I see a little creek running through it.

My town hasn't existed that long. But we're in the heart of California gold country, and there are lots of them around us. Sutter's Mill, Sutter's Fort, the state capitol, etc.

Yes it is, my town is the the origin of my mighty tribe in my country, Nigeria

I live between Annapolis and Washington DC, so yeah, my town has lots of historical landmarks. What's kinda sad though is that I rarely visit these places. It took me doing the 3-Day walk last year to get to downtown Washington to see the Monument, Capital and Lincoln Memorial. I really should take advantage of it more.

lol my city has so many temples, the name Sambalpur is derived from name of goddess 'samleswari', you can take her temple as the landmark, it is 900 years or more old..
