Why are we losing the war against Cancer?  

I think both the alternative medicines and the conventional medicines could go hand in hand together in battling this dreaded diseases. My mother have applied both method and so far is surviving cancer. She went on with the conventional method like chemotherapy and she went alternative medicines afterwards. I think it is working for her. She underwent to a clinical trial as well that why she got some new medicines with her that is making her cope with the situation as well. I both owe it with the conventional and alternative medicine.

hi barehugs I have a theory that as we keep getting additives in our foods that cannot be good for us, maybe a lot of top notch doctors have
not got a clue as to just what which additives can do to our bodies.
oh sure there are some bad doctors but heavens there are a whole lot of excellent doctors who have had success in treating and getting cures for cancer.too a lot of people will not go to a doctor for help until the cancer is spread throughtout their bodies.Doctors are not Gods, they are human beings.If many people would go to their doctor at the first feeling somehting seems wrong,t here wo uld be a lot more cures. I think that conventional medicine and alternative can go together but be fair,once cancer has invaded the whole body how can anyone but God cure that person. too if we all would read the labels on food stuff and not eat any thing with additives in them we might slow down a lot of cancer .

In my almost three years of work as a nurse, I saw many patients battling with many types of cancer and it is really heart breaking so see our patients lose the battle.after so many sessions of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and others went through surgery but still they suffer defeat.some patients cannot follow the dates and sessions of chemotherapy due to financial constriant.

i have been a chemotherapy nurse since i've started working and it is sad to see that many of our patients died because they cannot afford to have chemotherapy. but some of our patients also died even if they follow all the chemotherapy sessions due to complications.the question is what are the options left for this patients with cancer? is there still a cure? can all afford it?

many of our patients also surpassed the dying stage due to their strong will and being optimistic. some believe in mind over matter maybe that is thier advantage. their attitude towards fighting cancer lead them to win the the battle.

having a cancer does not mean that a person is dying, it means that one have to be brave and strong to stand and defeat cancer.

If we just follow a much healthier lifestyle, we could prevent cancer and drop the rate to a very significant level. Most cancers are heavily impacted by an unhealthy lifestyle followed for years. There is no doubt that cancer could be cured easily, after all, it takes years for it to develop. There are some cases were it is genetically induced but in most cases, I really find it related to one's lifestyle. Increased high blood pressure, heart ailments, and other diseases are said to be the effects of an unhealthy lifestyle but a lot overlooked cancer, which I believe is the most dangerous of them all. Once a cancer develops, it's very hard to stop and cure it, not to mention to amount of money, effort, and time involved in curing it. Prevention is indeed a lot better than cure and no matter how powerful the drugs are, not developing such illness is a lot better than curing it. One main problem about people is that they overlook the significance of things not until they experience the bad sides of it. In the case of healthy living, a lot of people are too lazy to exercise or to follow a much healthier diet because they prefer an easier life not doing something or sacrificing. What happens is that once they're already being hit by serious diseases, that's the time they start to change their lifestyles, normally, it's too late.

If we would consider living a much healthier lifestyle then we could curb down the number of cancer instances and definitely we could win the war against cancer. It really won't be easy but it's all going to be worth it.

You give the answer in your question, since death rates from other diseases have dropped significantly those people live longer and thus have a greater chance of contracting cancer. Therefore, the percentage figure is affected by improvement in cure rates for other disease, that it drops is a good thing

For me it is because many now a days not cooked for there food they go to fast food they don't want to eat vegetable so cancer is the end of every thing when they get old.

There is absolutely no reason for society to be losing the fight against cancer. Cures and preventative measures have been known for a very long time. The curing of cancer is not going to be found in chemotherapy or any other type of radiation therapy. It is not going to be found by raising millions of dollars through charities that solve nothing. The cure to cancer can be found in cutting out all chemicals from our lives. I know of people who have done this and I believe in it.

The medical community and the FDA (in the USA), (TGA in Australia) are not interested in cures as they are benefiting massively financially from the sickness industry. They create laws that do not allow natural medicine to be used as a cure.

I think it's all too plain to see how and why cancer (and myriad other diseases and ailments) are never really "cured"; rather, most of them are merely "treated"...after all, the pharmaceutical, medical, educational, and other facets of our social structure depend hugely on the populations' continued need for them.

If all diseases and ailments were miraculously to vanish tomorrow, our global economy would crumble and fall into ruin. Stock markets would collapse, unemployment would skyrocket, Government Agencies would have nothing to do, and on it goes.

So sad, so very sad...that we have come to this point in our "evolutionary journey"; for we KNOW that the greed and deception and other predatory and criminal practices that have brought us here are very likely also responsible for blindly and blatantly introducing products and substances which are known to be damaging-to-life; thus, damaging to the human species as a whole.

Future generations, born to parents who have been "toxified" through repeated or prolonged exposures to a variety of substances, will undoubtedly "adapt", as life usually does, but adapt to what? To living with new and foreign man-made chemicals in their systems? Perhaps that's what it will take; who knows? Perhaps future bodies will learn and adapt new defenses against such toxins; only time will tell.

i would also like this natural medicine for the cure of cancer be developed well and be used. my mother died three years ago. my mother in law follow a year after. they both victims of cancer. the available medicines in the drug store to stop the pain if those really aren't cure, the hospitals and the doctors, did not survived them. and if these natural or alternative medicines will truly help cure cancer, then why it should not be recognized.
