Has anyone been watching this new show on TVland? Ive been watching it both times its on. I love it. not only because it has Betty White in it, but because its set in my home state and a city i lived in for many years. Its such a social and hospitible type city. im so glad to see it seems to not have changed. I never had a problem finding a male friend there to date. and even my older aunts seem to still have baus there. I so miss Ohio. its a cute and funny, true to life sitcom. what do you think?

Well I am a fellow Ohioan, born and raised in Cincinnati. I did not know they had a TV show on TVland from Cleveland Ohio. What is the name of the show and when does it come on? I'd love to take a look at it.

The show is called Hot In Cleveland. It's on TVland channel on Wednesdays at 10 pm (or at least it was the past two weeks.) Check it out, it's got Wendy Malick, Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, and Jane Leeves (Daphne from Frasier.)

I like the fact that Wendy Malick's character is very much the same as her character in 'Just Shoot Me' but with the added bonus that she is so very "Hollywood" in this new show and totally amazed at everything Cleveland has to offer that is SOOOOO much different than Hollywood.

I've been watching it too, and enjoy what I've seen so far. It's got some of my favorite actresses on it. I live a couple towns East of Cleveland, so of course I had to see what it's all about lol. Not since the Drew Carey show has there been a hit show with Cleveland as it's city. (Cleveland has gotten negative press and some people still call it the city with the burning river!) As far as cities go, I think Cleveland is great for the most part. I wonder if they'll have a show where they go and visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

I've been to Ohio, but not Cleveland. I always wondered why people "hated on" it so much. What I saw of Ohio was nice, why beat up Cleveland? Is it like how people beat up on Detroit in Michigan?

Bunny The fire was back in June 1969 if I remember right. The Cuyahoga river was so polluted at time, there was an oil slick and a lot of trash in it. Somehow the river itself (oil) caught fire and from then on people referred to it as "the burning river'. This was a time in history when the Cuyahoga became a national pilot project for environmental clean-up. Not that Cleveland was the only place with that kind of pollution, just that the fire brought national attention, and from that all cities started cleaning up their rivers and waterfronts. In a way, it was a good thing because it brought clean up programs all over the country. People still pick on Cleveland ever since then. Ambie I think it is a lot like how people pick on Detroit for other reasons. Not fair, but they still do it. It seems like a lot of Ohio people pick on Pittsburgh and the Steelers. Human nature I guess.

Oh I love Betty White! I'm so happy to hear she has another sitcome coming out. Especially now after all the other Golden Girls are now gone. That can't sit too well with Betty so for her to carry on and do another sitcome is such a wonderful idea for her and I can't wait to see it! Do you know when it starts?

I have been watching every episode of this sitcom since the first season. I initially decided to watch it because of Betty White, and I didn't know who the other three actresses were before I watched the show. And I must say, with each episode, I grew fonder and fonder of each character in the sitcom, not just Elka (Betty). I really loved all the one-liners and the jokes at each others' expense. Anyway, while I'm typing out this response, the season finale for Season 2 will just be about half a day away! I read on Facebook that the final episode of Season 2 will be the verdict of Elka's trial which will determine whether she goes to jail for the rest of her life. Good luck Elka, we wish you a good jury decision! Will definitely catch this episode on air.....and also, can't wait for Season 3 to come along!

Not sure what the real reason is, but maybe the producers just want to make everyone wait in anticipation and when the season finally airs, people will all be tuning to it and the ratings soar......or perhaps they want to record the whole season before airing it to ensure Betty is in all episodes, just in case anything happens to Betty along the way.....

i know. i waited so darn long for this season. i wonder why its taking so long for each season. maybe has something to do with Bettys health? age? whatever.

I enjoyed the first one, but missed the last episode. It is a good show, as a northern neighbor I can see much of me in it. I am sure they will reshow it soon.

I'm from Ohio too! But I did watch Hot in Cleveland last night matter of fact. It is on at 10pm and I can't stay up that late but last night I did and other than some funnies from Betty White... I have to say, it was rather boring. I was hoping otherwise. Valerie is fine, and I have never heard of the other two... but half way through it I turned it off as I just didn't see any reason to stick with it. Might try again next week.

I was hoping for it to be good. The theme is good, but I think they are just putting so much emphasis on the se*xual storylines that it just takes from the comedy. Good grief, seems every sitcom has to be about s*ex these days

hi bunnybon7 that sounds like I would like it too as I always loved Betty White's acting so much. And since I have never been in Cleveland Ohio I might learn a little bit about the city and the state too. that must be really thrilling for you as you live there too. I will have to see if we get that program here in Californis. I am sure we do then find one of the two large computers that has not got a lot of the old goats listeng to reruns of Bonanza. lol lol lol.

Yep, I've watched it, both times so far and plan to keep watching it. I adore Betty White and think she's quite a gal for her age! She really is funny and I have the feeling that she will be the glue that holds this sitcom together. Obviously, all the gals are funny in their own right but Betty White, saying the things she says and being 88 years old, well, that's FUNNY! I love to laugh and this show has certainly given me plenty already so I'll continue to watch it. I think they've put together a great bunch of women and given each character a very unique personality that fits so well with the others. I haven't been totally into too many sitcoms because most of them are just silly but this one has some great belly laughs included so I'll be turned in, for sure. It's nice to know that the way Cleveland is portrayed in this show is actually the way it really is. I like the fact that it's so down-to-earth. I hope it has a long run and that Betty lives to be at least 100!

I am really enjoying this show. I have always enjoyed Betty White. I love her! The english gal is fun too. Loved her on Fraiser. Cleveland does sound nice. I Hope this show does go like so many others where they just run it into the ground and make it so silly it isn't as good as it is right now.

Hi bunny! When is it on? That's the problem with me! I don't watch tv that much anymore and I heard about the show, but didn't know when it was going to be on so I already missed it twice. I love Betty White too, who doesn't? Shes adorable, funny and an animal lover Chairperson for so many Animal Charities! And I also like Valere Bertinelli too. So, when is it on and what channel? I know the channel might be different so if you could give it to me by the letters that would help because I would really like to see it!

The channel is called "TVLAND" and its probably not the same number there. Its their first original sitcom. as usually this station does reruns of older sitcoms like sanford and son, all in the family, and golden girls. Its on wednesday nights rather late here. 10pm. but they also rerun it on other nights like saturdays, etc.

I've never seen the show and if I am being completely honest, I've actually never heard of it either. However, in starting this discussion you've put a lot of things into perspective. You see, though I've never lived in Ohio, both of my parents are originally from Cincinnati so a lot of the mannerisms that I have come from them and that is probably one of the reasons that we are able to get along so well.

I have seen promos for this show a lot in the past few weeks. I have not had the chance to see it yet. It looks like a greatr show though. I am looking forward to getting the chance to see it myself. I have always been a fan of Valerie Bertinelli since One Day at a Time. I am also a Betty Whie fan. Golden Girls was one of my favorites. I am sure Hot In Cleveland will be a huge success!
