|  Carl Edwards INTENTIONALLY spun out Brad Keselowski to win at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Illinois. While he didn't say it word-for-word, he basically admitted that he did it intentionally. Carl Edwards should be fined and suspended for his actions, because this is not the first time he has done this to Keselowski. It is one thing to accidentally spin out another driver, then admit that it was an accident and apologize for it. It is another thing altogether to spin someone out to win the race, and then brag about doing it in victory lane. In his victory lane interview, Carl Edwards showed no remorse, nor did he express any concern for the well-being of the driver that he wrecked. He sounded like a little kid bragging about beating someone up. Maybe someone will wreck Carl Edwards in the next he drives in, but I think NASCAR officials should have some balls and impose stiff penalties on him. He should have to pay a fine, and should be suspended for at least six races. He should always be stripped of his win, and the victory should be awarded to the second place driver in the race...

| |  I only watch the Sprint Cup series so I missed it but, if NASCAR doesn't do anything about it, then Carl did not break the rules. I'm sure you're familiar with the bump and run...Dale Earnhardt Sr. was famous for taking out other drivers in that way...but I don't know if it's still legal or not. It has nothing to do with balls. NASCAR is a business and the fans want to see racing...not cruising...so they do allow for some bumping and even spinning another driver out.

| |  I agree 100%. He is not being penalized because this is what the fans want. They love to see blood and guts spilled on the race course.

| |  I'm a Sprint Cup Series fan, but did see this race and am happy Edwards got the win. I feel that if he did wrong, officials would say so. I watched the video on nascar.com and still say it's a tough call.
However, I also feel that Keselowski has that K at the forefront of his name, Karma may be comin' back to bite him! There are several Sprint drivers who have issues with Keselowski and it's about time he get a taste of his own medicine.

| |  The real problem is that if you don't penalize actions like Edwards made you're leaving open retaliation. In this case Edwards took out Keselowski AND two other cars that hit Brad's car. It's one thing to take out one guy you're after but as in this case, you probably get somebody else. What happens when Brad takes out Carl? Who else gets caught up in this and how soon before somebody gets hurt?

| | Now, retaliation is an area where NASCAR will put their foot on your throat fast. If Keselowski goes after Edwards...intentionally bumps him...he will be warned by the officials. If he intentionally wrecks Edwards he will be penalized. Someone had to sit out a race...or part of a race...in the Sprint Cup series not too long ago if I'm not mistaken for this very thing. | | | |

| |  I missed this race, so I really don't know anything of the incident that you are talking about. However, if he was bragging about it in Winner's Lane, then I do agree with you that he should be fined and suspended. In addition to that, I think that there should also be a penalty imposed on his entire team in that they should be stripped of some of their championship points as well. While there are times that bump and run is okay, there are also times that it is highly dangerous and is something that shouldn't be tolerated at all.
