She really did demand "bendy straws" for her two bottles of water and for her water to be opened at the appropriate time prior to her speaking at California Stanislaw University this past summer. http://abcnews.go.com/images/Blotter/Palin_Contract.pdf Annie

How old is Sarah? She demanded bendy straws, I wonder what she would have done if the straws were straight? I would have thought that she would want straight straws if you know what I mean. Then the water being open up at the appropriate time now if Obama had demanded this kind of an obnoxious treatment conservatives would be calling him King Obama, so Queen Palin?

Actually Taskr I am not telling you anything but I was writing something to Annie. If I wanted to tell you something I would actually respond directly to you. For the life of me cannot figure out why you think I care what your opinion is of my opinion?

Lol, are you telling me you don't think Obama's demands for food and beverages are ridiculous? Obviously they haven't received the months of scrutiny this crap has, but there was an article or two about him and his ridiculously expensive steaks a while back. Despite that nobody here has been calling him King Obama so your argument fails.

If you really didn't care you wouldn't waste your time with a retort now would you?

...Hi there annie, Well this is what I want to say about Sarahlee, she should be sending royalities to John McCain for pulling her out of basic obscurity in Alaska and putting her little body on centerstage to torment part of the country and make another part as happy as a lark, and made her a rich woman. She has taken advantage of an opportunity and gotten the butter from the duck. I don't think I have seen another person recently who has stretched their 15 minutes of fame into an hour. She's good, with limited knowledge and the ability to change the subject and never quite answer a valid policy question sensibly, she is carrying on like a champ. She and her crew may just wind up destroying the GOP as it has been known. Wonder what John McCain thinks when he sitting quietly by himself? "o) He introduced Pandora to us all. As for her straws, I know that you are aware that when you reach Diva status, which she thinks she is, you request whatever you want and get it. As long as the band is playing her song....now if the band stops playing, look out for falling rocks, straws and everything else. Take care.

...Hey there mattic, You guys always take me out. "o) This pretender in chief as you call him got there by beating the pants off of a very worthy opponent. So much so that she had to or did ask him to help her pay her leftover bills after she spent every dime and more on her campaign, way to go. This pretender in chief got a health care bill through, after 40 years and seven other non pretender in chiefs couldn't do it. But the pretender in chief DID! This pretender in chief has made HISTORY by getting through more legislation to help the people and the country than any other president in recent history including Lyndon Johnson. I'd say he pretends very well. Bored indeed, he's sick of the do nothing GOP saying no to everything he proposes even after they initially voted for it. Now if you have such a problem with government solving problems, you should be very happy and thrilled when your favorite party tries to shut down the government and grinds everything to a halt in a little while and the states don't get their subsidies and your electric possibly gets shut off or your relatives don't get their SS checks for food. Then you can jump up and down and shout as the government will be gone. Good, great luck. Cheers. One more thing if you have never cooked before, but you bake a great cake, I'd say that what you haven't done cannot supercede what you are doing. It's irrelevant. By the by welcome to the ranch, great place to meet new friends.

Only the current White House resident, the "Pretender-in-chief" surpasses Palin in "getting butter from the duck" (whatever t h that means). He has never held a position of responsibility - always lived off the government, refuses to release any records to support the media's assertions of his vast intelligence, and appears genuinely bored with the presidency. While Palin may not be the most brilliant political mind, she at least acknowledges that government is not the solution to our problems.

So what!! I often ask for "bendy straws" when I am out. It amazes me how people can bother about such a petty thing when our country is falling apart. I am not a fan of Palin but this is really "grasping at straw"!!! Pun intended!

No jb, Annie's whole attack is nothing more than a straw man argument.

This is definitely the most riveting and important political news I have heard today. Good Lord, who does this woman think she is? Doesn't she know how expensive and rare bendy-straws are? She should fish her straw out of the bottle like all the other straight-talking, straight-straw folk. I have defended her before, but not this time. This is unconscionable!

My favorite part was that any Q&A would be done by a moderator or someone selected by the company in advance. God forbid someone were to ask a question Palin hasn't rehearsed the answer to a thousand times.

I agree with you here! But then again... there isn't much going on in the world these days or in this country for that matter, so I guess they just have to have something for the media to report and talk about. Sure wouldn't want any of them to get layed off due to no news to report.............
