So I have worked a few craft shows this season and though I am consistently selling to every three or four people who pass my table I have to say the going is rough. The traffic even at shows that used to be very busy has been really slow. There are even a few crafters giving up their spots at pother shows because they say it is so bad! This last weekend in fact the spot next to me was empty because they person never showed up. I mean really you pay for the spot and it is non-refundable why not show? Is this a problem any where else? Are you working in a good area? Or is it what you are selling that is not going over well. I have an eclectic variety at my table and sold a little of everything. My Tea and jewelry did best. I am hoping this show I am doing this up coming weekend is better. I have broke even but would like to make a decent profit this year.

I have not done any craft shows this years. There is a craft show/farmers market festivity at the local mall here every Thursday. I did not register. However,a girl at the flea market where I am at went last week and she said her soy candles did really well.

I used to do candles but they take up a lot more room then jewelry. Something I cannot afford.

I have one this weekend too. I hope it goes well. I did one in Sept and it was pretty good but like the show you were just at not many crafters showed up! I mean there were only four of us!!! The rest was commercial products like Avon etc. I usually do well at the holiday one...hopefully this year will be the same! Good luck to you at your sale this weekend!

I like the one I am doing this weekend. They only allow handmade items. Good luck to you too.

We have a big Holly Day Fair coming up soon in one of the larger towns near me and they always seem to draw a pretty big crowd. I, personally am not a crafter but I can tell you from a buying stand point, it is rough going these days financially. I love attending craft shows and I love to support local craftsmen/women but at the moment it is just a big stretch for me. I hope your business picks up!

i like a craft, but handy craft is so expensive. and what i can do to a craft is just look at it.
i want study to create it. because if you can create a good one craft that's will be so expensive. and it easy to be a rich people.
